You have to Stick with the Facts:

1. Earthly Facts
2. Spiritual Facts

1. Earth is not quite Round
2. Earh has Four Corners

1. Physical Realm
2. Spiritual Realm

As you can see, the Spiritual Realm is Not to be Confused with the Physical Realm.
Or you'll get Confused!!!

1. Physical Realm--is Visible
2. Spiritual Realm--is InVisible

I would refer you to Isaiah 40:22 referring to the Circle of the earth. Then to Job 26:7 refers to the earth hanging upon nothing. This is what the Bible says despite the view the world had at the time.

it means the person cannot answer your question...

there is an easy way to look up subjects in the Bible now....

you can go to this website and type in what you want to know...it will help you determine if there are scriptures about that subject....

to answer your question...there is nothing that says the earth is flat...

in isaiah, it refers to the circle of the earth......meaning the earth is round.....but it does not say flat

the closest is.....the earth having corners, which seems to contradict the circle reference until you understand the symbolism.....it is just referring to the 4 directions of north, south east and west.....
Earth, Corners of The:

The "corners" or "ends" of the earth are its "wings" (kanephoth ha-’arets), i.e. its borders or extremities. The word in general means a wing, because the wing of a bird is used as a covering for its young, and from this meaning it acquires that of the extremity of anything stretched out. It is thus used in De 22:12: "Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four borders (wings) of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself." It thus also means the coasts or boundaries of the land surface of the earth; its extremities. It is translated "corners" in Isa 11:12; "ends" in Job 37:3, 38:13. The "four corners" of the earth (Isa 11:12) or "land" (Eze 7:2) are therefore simply the extremities of the land in the four cardinal directions.

Hmmm....I think I would interpret that type of answer as someone believing that you asked that question with the intent of tripping up those who believe in the Bible by showing that the Bible is not factual, since the earth is indeed round and not flat. I wouldn't worry about what the person meant by their answer. Some people just say random stupid stuff when they answer questions, just to get your goat. Ignore them.

There is nothing in the Bible which I've seen which says that the earth is flat.

There is a passage which says the earth is round, which is a 3 dimentional circle. Isaiah 40:22

of the earth, and the inhabitants
thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the
heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent
to dwell in." --Isaiah 40:22

You can interpret it as this person you asked the question to knows that non-believers often asked questions to provoke. It is often in the way that you say it.

They probably think you are asking a loaded question. But that's just my interpretation...

they don't understand the question and/or they don't understand the answer.
Which is fine.. They should accept it. I'm a Christian, I don't have the answer to lots of things.
