Daily moderate exercise. A good brisk walk in the morning before warm temperatures and another good walk in the evening when it cools down.
Shelties are GREAT dogs!! My parents currently have two and they are so sweet and very intelligent :)
I don't know if this is something you would be interested in, but Shelties tend to do really well in agility. Find a local breed club in your area and go and check out an event or two. It is a good way to exercise your Shelties body AND mind!

A chuckit. It will throw a ball for a long ways and keeps your arm from getting too tired. Some obedience training will strengthen your relationship with your dog - and a sheltie will really benefit! Herding dogs are very smart.
Is she crazy like hyper? What exactly do you mean?

Call a vet and ask for anything he/she can suggest. Many dogs are always hyper when they're younger, all you can do pretty much is get a trainer or train them yourself to stay down when she jumps. Also go to a library for a book on training dogs, there might be tips in there for you.

shelties are a working dog specifically a herding dog.
I know several sheltie breeders and dog obedience and agility is what helped them.
Plenty of walking.
good luck

The first thing is you have to be calmed down. Otherwise you being all happy and overjoyed will transfer to her and make her anxious and jumpy.
Get that energy out take her for a run outside when you get home :)
