when i shave my underarms, its still all bumpy right after i finish. this doesnt happen to my legs though. i heard waxing makes your hair thinner so you can't really see it. but does that nair body stuff work too? what else can i do to stop this from happening?

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM! I JUST BOUGHT THE AVEENO SHAVING GEL/CREAM. IT'S THE NAVY BLUE ONE, FOR SENSITIVE SKIN AND NO RAZOR BURN OR BUMPS. THE ONE WITHOUT FRAGRANCE.

I'M WORSE OFF THAN YOU BECAUSE I GET BUMS ON MY LEGS AND THE AVEENO HELPED ME BIG TIME. SO IF IT'S JUST FOR YOUR UNDERARMS THAN I'M SURE IT WILL HELP YOU. GOOD LUCK!

1) Do you shave ur underarms every single night? Because if you do, this is what causes the bumps. When people shave their underarms it extracts oil from ur skin, which causes it to become irritated and itchy. This also causes a rash and bumps, so I suggest shaving ur underarms ever 2 or 3 nights.
2) You can also purchases deodorants (such as Dove's Sensitive Skin Ultimate Clear) which contain certain ingredients that give you silky smooth skin.
3) Also you should purchase a good shaving gel to use. This u use by squirting it out of the can and rubbing it on ur wet skin and then u can shave. it protects ur skin from rashes and makes it smoother.

****HOPE THIS HELP!

You should try a different brand of razor and maybe shaving creme. Make sure you rinse your razor in cold water not hot. Nair does work, but it is annoying having to leave it on for the required minutes. Waxing really hurts!

Switching to Dove deoderant helped me out in this department. And Yes, nair products do work if used as directed. Also there are lotions that you can apply after shaving that helps slow the growth process and softens the hair.

For me, I sit there and pluck each one for the pits. Waxing will do too but it will eat up your skin in the long run. Waxing on your skin cause winkles. Or maybe it is your razor, because I dont have that bumpy feel to it after I shave.

the nair is a chemical that burns the skin, may irritate the skin, but maybe not. try it, read instructions carefully twice.
