Jesus will not always bring you the staisfaction you seek.
His love will warm you, guide you and guard you.
But contentment never really will come. It depends on the type of forgiveness you are looking for. Only you know if your hould be forgiven, and when you truly have repented.

Believe me. I battled that feeling for 7 years. You most likely have not forgiven your self. You need to realize that you have been forgiven so you need to forgive yourself. Tell God about it!

Have you confessed and repented?

1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If so, then maybe it's just a guilty conscience because you've done something against our Heavenly Father or it could be that the accuser of the brethren is trying to discourage you.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. 12 Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!"

Just don't worry about it forgive yourself first of all and let it not bother you. You sound like you are sorry in your heart now just let it go. Just from now on try to do what feels right in your heart and things will feel better.

Because your church leaders want you to feel that way. Guilt and shame are two of Christianity's most powerful weapons to control you and what you think and feel - and how often you throw open your wallet for them.

Free your mind.

Matthevv 18:12-14 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

Believe me you are gonna have days where you feel like your are not saved. You just got to remember to have faith in God and know that even though you don't feel he knows that you are his Child and his Heir.
