Yeah probably, maybe even Jesus himself. But the thing to realize is that the concept of "gay" was not around in this time. The thought that someone was one or the other is a relatively new idea. Sure there were people who participated in homosexual acts, and some who participated in them exclusively. But this is not true for everyone. The same man (Kinsey) who came up with that 10% number graded homosexuality on a continuum. It wasn't "you're ether gay or you're not", it was 5 different positions on a spectrum from completely homosexual to completely heterosexual, with bi in the dead center, but within those there were positions that were for people who were mostly gay or strait, with attraction to the same or opposite sex. This number is not entirely based on action either, it uses thoughts and fantasies.
Even as we as humans grow and change our sexuality can shift on this scale. Many boys will be quick to deny it but the majority have had some sort of shared experience with another boy, which can include just looking. This has nothing to do if you turn out strait or not, just something that naturally happens but we're all to "hush hush" about sex to have legitimate conversations about it.
Newer research is also pointing to mothers immunity to androgen having an affect on sexuality, meaning that the more older brothers a man has increases the likeliness of being homosexual. This by no means is the only reason, or even proven 100%, but is a working theory that can account for thousands of gays. Other animals like penguins, monkeys and lizards all exhibit homosexual activity. Even more astonishing is that the amount of homosexuality found in the wild mirrors our own, about 10%.
How many apostles where there? Including Mary Magdalen and others who were left out of the scriptural texts? Yeah, I'd say your chances are pretty good that someone of that group believed that God loved them for who they were, regardless of orientation. After all, wasn't that what Jesus taught? Forgiveness and understanding. Most of the anti gay information from the bible is Old Testament, which Jesus did not teach. He taught non-judgmental love and peace. He wouldn't have cared less if someone was gay, only that they had God in their heart. The rest would be between them and God.

If we assume 5% of the population is gay, then there is about a 46% chance (1 - .96^12) that one of a randomly selected group of twelve people is gay.
Now, back then, a gay person probably would have been in the closet, so perhaps it is somewhat safe to say the group would not have been biased against gay people joining.
On the other hand, the Apostles were likely made up, with the number twelve being chosen because of the Twelve Tribes of Israel (which came from the twelve signs of the Zodiac). If they didn't exist, then they had no sexual orientation.
However, one of them (John) is often portrayed almost as if he were gay.

What does it matter? God dosen't care if someone feels attracted to someone of the same sex. All that matters is if you act on it, but it's just the same for a straight person. Celibacy was practiced by all of the Apostles, so in the end that question really has no effect on what happened.

Hello wooper.. :)
All of the apostles were, gleeful, jovial, glad, joyous, happy, cheerful, sprightly, light-hearted and vivacious..
Because to be gay, means to be jolly, joyful, merry..which describes a lightness of heart or liveliness of mood that is openly manifested.. :)
So the answer to your question is, they all were.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

NO...a certain % of the population "claims " to be gay because of psychological and spiritual problems from satan's tampering with the world....
stupid questions of this nature only indicates your lack of Biblical understanding... sexual perversion of that nature was not done, it was unlawfull, a stoning offense, that was something that the romans did which is part of the cause for the fall of the empire

I don't think so if you meant as in homosexual. As in happy, more likely just like my contact above me put ^_~ Christians aren't supposed to be homosexual, they wouldn't be following Jesus's example if they were

I'd say they probably ALL were. (Imagine a
bunch of ancient primitive guys giving up women
and following a bearded charismatic dude around
for any other reason...)

A bunch of 30 something Jewish guys roaming the countryside in robes as a small intimate group of constant companions, only one woman around and none of them living in their mothers basement.
Hmmm, draw your own conclusions!

John was Jesus' beloved disciple according to scripture. He was often seen with his head laying on Jesus' bosom. This doesn't mean either one was gay, though. They could have been bisexual.
