Does anyone know if open office have an Excel like program that will work with Microsoft Excel?

Yep, it does actually. I forget the name but it reads Excel files, if thats what you want.

Yes it does, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point Compatible Programs come with Open Office.

OpenOffice Calc is the name of the component.
It is not 100% compatible with MS Excel. If you need to share and have NO problems with MS Excel, then do not use Calc.
Assuming it's just you doing your own spreadsheets, OpenOffice is a great program and Calc works very well.
Highly recommended.
