If you have to ask that question here you shouldn't be training him to attack.

There are protection sports, but it's very disciplined. If you haphazardly train your dog to attack you can have a very dangerous dog. Dogs trained for protection work must obey instantaneously. They know when to bark at a suspect, when to stay back, when to bite and when to let go.

Well-trained protection dogs are generally "safer" than untrained dogs of the same breed because the owner knows how to handle the dog and the dog knows he must obey when his owner tells him that it's time to back off. Not that untrained dogs are unsafe, but they have that instinct if their owner is in danger.

However, haphazardly training a dog to attack will result in a very dangerous dog. If this is really something you want to commit to, find a Schutzhund or ring sport club and train with them.

If your dog is big and protective, he will protect you if it becomes necessary. There's no need to encourage him to attack.

Wow, what a bunch of BS answers to a legit question? Listen. First of all, I have no idea what kind of DOG, not doggie, you have. If he qualifies for protection training take him to a good trainer and have him trained. Do not listen to the bunny huggers and the morons who have no idea what a dog is. A properly trained protection dog is a pleasure to own. They are more dependable then any natural protection dog. They can be depended upon to save a life. And no, they are NOT considered deadly force, they are minimal use of force. That is NOT the same thing as blowing someone's head off with a shotgun. That is TERMINAL use of force.
What is wrong with some people?

You don't. It costs you over $10,000 and a minimum of 6 months. Then you have to be trained. If you are someone that is not authorized to use lethal force you will be held criminally responsible if the dog bites some. It is the same as you cannot blow someones head off with a shotgun if you catch them burglarizing you.

Why would you want your dog to attack on command? I had a mean dog. He was great with the family, but anyone else he wanted to kill (no exaggerations!!). He ended up getting away from me and attacking a good friend. I had to have him put down. BTW, my ex-boyfriend made him mean, I would never want a mean dog, but I loved him and did everything to keep him away from people. Don't do it, you could loose your dog for no reason. Also, you could be sued if he bites someone. I was lucky and it was a good friend, so I didn't get sued but I was fined by the city and lost my dog. It's not worth it!

training your dog to attack on command is bad. Teching him ANY kind of aggression is bad. someone could get hurt. The only people who should be training aggression are police dogs. that's the only exception. If you have a special situation (You're being stalked, ect...) tell the police and they should tell you what to do. Good Luck!

Many people have already said what i want to say and all i can say right now is that ur a terrible person. you should not be trying to make him attack anyone or anything nor another animal.... he will get injured if not killed and somehow you may get hurt....
you wuould know that is animal cruelty if you have any knowledge about dogs.... u will go to jail and ur dog will be euthanized or " put to sleep" (in case u may not know what euthanizing means too).
you should be taking him to obedience school. ppl like u are the reason that some of those dogs may end up in shelters without homes

You should never train a dog to be aggressive. Not only is it dangerous, it's STUPID!! What if he got the wrong idea - such as a small kid leans against HIS fence and your dog decided it was necessary to try to rip the child apart? Please use your brain - even if he was trained to attack on command, that is just idiotic!

Teaching any dog any type of aggression unless your a professional or extremely experenced is a BAD idea and aggression can get out of hand fast then someone or something gets hurt!
