Read the New Testament! Jesus came to become a blood sacrifice for us. God does not send us to hell we send ourselves to hell because we have free will and we all have heard the word of the Lord. God is love. I am not afraid. I feel his love.

Some Christian religions teach the "God dishonoring" doctrine of hellfire. However, it is not a Bible based doctrine. it doesn't fit with what the Bible really teaches. The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, where it says: "The dead know nothing . . . In the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." Since the dead have no conscious existence, hell cannot be a fiery place of torment where the wicked suffer after death. The Bible hell is the common grave of mankind where good people as well as bad ones go.
Another aspect is just what you mentioned. What kind of a just, loving God would torment an imperfect human for eternity for mistakes made for just a few years while living on the Earth? It doesn't fit with how the Bible describes God. According to 1 John 4:8, God is the personification of love.
When God created Adam and put him in the Garden of Eden, he gave him one law, "Don't eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad." He told Adam that if he chose to disobey, the punishment would be death, not eternal torment (Genesis 2:16,17). Hebrews 6:18 says that it is impossible for God to lie.
If you ever chose to read the Bible, you can see that love and justice are two of God's main attributes. I hope you can see from the few scriptures I have shared with you that this hellfire doctrine doesn't fit with the rest of the Bible teachings and true Christians do not believe this false doctrine.

Well , if the christian view is true, then the situation is that mankind has been corrupted, so we are from God's view somewhat horrendous morally (like "Alien" to His moral sensitivities). So as He is absolutely pure He can't have communion with us eternally. There is an offer of salvation for all who believe .. providing
1) getting a new spirit
2) having all ones sins forgiven
3) receiving the Holy Spirit to help us
So we are made fit and acceptable through Christ's actions, as far as we don't wilfully and permanently discard faith in God, which is pretty impossible for a true believer.
There is a cost, mainly ridicule in Western countries, some much more serious problems in some other cultures.

God is not evil. Satan has caused the whole world to be misled ( Rev. 12: 9 ). Satan's main purpose is to turn people away from worshipping God. One way he does this is by making people believe that God does evil acts. God is not practicing evil toward anyone ( James 1: 13 ).

first of all. christianity is not a religion. its a belief. secondly, GOD* is not punishing those who dont believe. if someone doesnt believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Gods Son and that He rose again from the dead, they will not be saved. And like you said, you wouldnt make people believe in you, just the same He does not force himself on anyone. "Behold i stand at the door and knock and if anyone hears my voice and will open the door I will come in" Rev. 3 20. See He is always there and he wants everyone to be with Him. He is knocking on the door of your heart and of the worlds heart. It is your choice whether or not you let Him in. And it is YOUR choice whether or not you go to heaven.

When parents have children, they will teach them right from wrong so they are safe, and they raise them to be good, strong, wise adults. But once they move out, they make their own decisions. The parents can no longer give them a time-out if they break the law or something. The grown children have to accept responsibility for their own actions and face the consequences themselves.
God wants His children to believe in Him and His Son, follow His teachings, and be in Heaven with Him. But He gave everyone free will to choose their own path. It's up to each person where he or she will end up. No one is forced to follow God.
Hope this helps.

No one believes in God because they are afraid of Him.
They have to believe FIRST!
Then, when they see how much their lives are in opposition to His command to love one another.....they begin to be afraid of Him.....and many hate Him for that.
John 3:19-21
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

The God portraited in the Old Testament was mean. I don't like that God so I'm with you on that but I'm not an atheist. I don't believe in any religion; I think they are all wacky but I do believe in God because of the miracles that I've experienced.

Well, first of all He is the Almighty God, maker of Heaven and Earth, and yes, even you. God gives you a way out of that eternal punishment, but if you CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT IT, THEN IT IS YOUR CHOICE THAT SENDS YOU INTO ETERNAL PUNISHMENT. Why don't people want to worship the one true God who created them? He doesn't wish for you to perish, but to have eternal life. Why do you think Jesus came down here to die? Just for the fun of it? I think not! He came to SAVE US FROM ETERNAL PUNISHMENT! God could have left things be, and not sent the Savior, and just let us all perish, but seeing that He is a GRACIOUS GOD, and SAVES US BY HIS GRACE, something we do not deserve, (It's Heaven we don't deserve, not Hell) Because not one of us is worthy. Not one. I think God is wonderful, and a loving Father. He loves us so much He came down and died a horrible death so that we may have eternal life. How in the world is that evil?? I think you are confused, and sadly misled.

The Bible tells us that the dead are conscience of nothing and therefore feel no pain, so he does not send people to suffer for eternity.
“The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to which you are going.” (Eccl. 9:5, 10)
"Sheol" translates too "the grave" or "the world of the dead".
So hell (the place for the dead) is not a place of torment.
The Bible also tells us that "God is love." (1 John 4:16) A loving God wouldn't punish people in everlasting torture. So God is not "evil". The original Hebrew for hell is 'Sheol' and 'Hades', 'Sheol' meaning "the grave" or "the world of the dead" [as stated above].
When it says everlasting punishment, it means that they will never return, they are gone forever. Being non-existent forever is defiantly a punishment, it's been punished for eternity.
Also, how do you think God "makes people believe" in him? Ever since Adam and Eve decided they didn't need God and that they could govern themselves he has let us try and prove that and not intervened- hence suffering etc.
