Why in the hell would a Marine want to be a seal? Just kidding brother, Semper Fi! I would talk to a Marine Corps recruiter or someone in your command already and ask about trying out for Marine recon. I believe now days all the different services special forces train with eachother. However I dont think you can do any of these while being in the reserves. Good luck

To begin with....Not just no but....HELL NO!! Marines have
Force Recon. Back in the day when seals were called "Frogmen" they got their doctrine from Marine Training.
Navy Seals hate that fact but thats life. The Seals are very good at what they do and they have a proud warrior ethos.
But , "Once a Seal always a Seal"? PHFFT!!!!!!

if your only in the reserves it is possible to opt out of your contract and join the navy you would just have to make sure buds was in your contract. I'm in the navy and I would not recommend it. I'm sure the Marines have a program similar you can join.

You need to join NAVY Active and then apply for BUD/S. And, Rick I know several Marines who are SEALs and had to join NAVY.

I believe most SEALS are on active duty, or you would need to re-up in order to be accepted in the program. Navy and/or Marine personnel are accepted into the SEALS.
