If an immigrant is going to have the nerve to lie on a passport application...what in the world makes you believe they won't commit a crime once legalized here?????

Once and for all...ILLEGAL immigrants have ZERO rights...if a potential immigrant is caught lying on an application...punish them to the fullest extent of the law. If we make an example out of one...maybe less will try.

You gotta break a few eggs if ya wanna make an omeleltte.

They should be forced to pay a fine and do jail time before being deported.

Passport applications usually (most countries) have a clause at the bottom of the page that says the equivelent of "I (the applicant) understand that I am a (name of country) citizen and that any false or misleading statements can lead to a maximum of (number) of years in jail or a (amount) fine or both.

Personally, I say deport them. If you can't be truthful on the most important document in your life (probably), then I don't want you here. If a citizen were to lie on an application they could be charged with fraud, possibly perjury...and since potential immigrants don't yet have the benefits of citizenship here (that's why they're applying for immigration)...get rid of them.

They should be photographed finger printed, and put on a special list that is sent out to all INS departments all across the united states like the Most wanted list you see in post offices. Then ship that person back across to where he came from.
