Nice one Padawan Link, it IS nice to see how the Creationists are avoiding this question apparently, all they say is "God forgives" this or that...not addressing the question that I can see. Maybe God made a fluke when he created Hermaphrodites, but isn't God infallible? Maybe Hermaphrodites are more God-like than anyone since God is everything and everyone, that means he's a herm....right? Or maybe God cursed an entire family against his own edict of "ask for forgiveness and then be forgiven" and "free will" It's a sad abnormality of nature that some children are born with both penis and vagina, and I wonder what Creationists can say on that, if God created us in His image, then where do Hermaphrodites come in?

This is a great question, or would be if it really made fundamentalist Christians think, instead of resorting to their old standby cop-outs of "God's will," or "the devil did it," or "God will forgive" (as if a hermaphroditic infant had anything to be forgiven for). It raises a lot of interesting points, some already mentioned here.

First, God created man in His own image. So God is a hermaphrodite? Or did He make a mistake when creating these people? Or are they "cursed" because of some supposed sin? Maybe one they committed in the womb?

Also: What does the existence of hermaphrodites say about homosexuality and God's (and most Christians') condemnation of anything that is not purely masculine or feminine?

God created humans with physical characteristics that range across a full scale. For example, some men are born with very large and muscular bodies, excessive testosterone, deep voices, a lot of body hair, and generally very strong. Other men are born with smaller and weaker bodies than normal, little testosterone, high voices, little body hair and generally weaker than most men. And then there are hermaphrodites, people who exhibit physical characteristics of both sexes.

Why would God create some men to be more physically effeminate and some women to be more masculine than average, some extremely so, and then condemn them for being the way He made them? Why do some Christians?

Can we logically condemn homosexuals for being what God made them to be, and force them to be something else than what they are, and still consider ourselves to be Godly? I think not...

I would submit that judgemental, self-righteous Christians who condemn others because they cannot understand them, disapprove of them, or even because their sacred text demonizes them... that those Christians need far more forgiveness, and need it far more desperately, than do those whom God has created to be different than the average person.

QuietBuck obviously skipped the biblical passages that specifically call for incest in order to carry on the family name. Talk about your family blood curses...I guess it is some people's "Lot" in life.

Not being a Creationist I really have no reason to answer your question but I just had to make a statement.

LOL - good question! And someone decided that their forgiving god actually curses whole family lineages, as if that isn't completely illogical (if everyone can be forgiven, then you cannot curse a family forever...). Besides, is that a curse or a blessing? If god is all things, doesn't that mean a hermaphrodite is more like god than the rest of us??

Adam Kicked GOD out of the Creation, and let satan in to Kill, Steal and Destroy.

GOD Almighty is Bound by Spiritual Law to send a Human Being when Sperm meets Egg.
(no matter how it happens)

When GOD sends a Human Being, he,she is A-OK.

When they Enter the Earth WE ALL get messed up, some more than others BECAUSE of what Adam and satan has done.

EveryBody and What-So-Evers can get Saved in this Time Period, Thanks to Jesus.

We ALL need to Ask Jesus to Save Us, then HE can help us Figure OURSELVES out!
HE is That Good and Kind.

Since Adam disconnected us from GOD and connected us to satan (this is not demon possession, but a Lost Spiritual Nature) IF GOD were to Eliminate satan Right Now, Every LOST Person would be Eliminated too and GOD is trying to get them Saved.
Hope this helps.

I'm going to guess only by abstinence will be the normal response.

edit - wait...so sins of the father become the sins of the son? That doesn't sound very free-willish and just.

Who knows?
Perhaps hermaphrodites are a clue to our evolutionary future.

As you can tell, I am not a Creationist.

How can they say. They're not god. They'll give you some lame excuse like, "well, I believe god makes everybody the way they are for a reason." Like having both a dick and a crotch is going to give somebody some special purpose in life.

It's a genetic abnormally or something going wrong in development.
