I have 2 female dogs and one male. The male is a neutered boxer, he was neutered very young. He has always peed like a girl dog. Just recently he started peeing on bushes like he is trying to "mark" things. Yesterday he lifted up his leg like a boy! I was so pround of him hahahah, silly but ya. I am wondering why it has taken him so long to pee like a male dog? Im thinking its cuz we had our friends male dog over who wasn't neutered and marked stuff in the yard.

You're probably right on. Marking is a learned behavior. Males can pee "like girls" forever, but he learned it from your friend's dog! Oh well, can't keep him away from the boys forever. :)

Marking is both a hormonal driven and learned behavior. Since you did the correct thing and had the dog neutered before the hormones triggered the behavior, it had to be learned.

Males actually don't have to lift thier legs to pee. It's just for marking things, so this just means that he is takling an interest in marking his territory, it's fine and nothing to be worried about.
