most of the tvs are now in that range of below 10000 only and so dont worry and go to a nice shopping place for electronic items and check them out. i prefer sansui. but then today you might get a sony also within that price but the best buy is around diwali with many discounts and its not that far now

unless you are talking about yen, you should easily score double to triple that size for eight grand. more details are needed. what features are you looking for. hdtv, rca hookups, s-video, vcr and dvd combo. add some specifics to your questions and the yahoo community would be better to help in these opinion oriented situations.

I don't know the model no. because they change it offently, but deffinitely Samsung have some good TVs in that range.Just go to a samsung showroom and get one, it is worth what you are paying.
