If Adam and Eve sinned why is it that we have to suffer in child bearing?,....what does eating a apple have to do with hiding our private parts and having terrible child bearing pains?,.......why is this sin so emphasised on or genitals?, or was there something else going on in the garden that would cause us to cover our private parts?, why would we feel ashamed of our private parts if we only ate a dumb apple or a fruit?. How can a fruit tree be good and evil??

The reason childbirth is painful and potentially dangerous for humans (much more so than it is for even our closest ape relatives) is because we have much larger brains (and therefor heads) than any other creature, and our hips are much narrower than most as a result of how we walk on two legs. Squeezing a large head through a small pelvis is difficult due to both factors! This is also why our children are born so helpless compared to animal ones that can walk minutes or even seconds after birth. Humans "should" develop longer inside the mother, but if we did we'd be too large to be born.

This isn't the answer you were looking for, I know, because it has nothing to do with the Christian religion's story about Adam and Eve and all of that. But I figured that you might be curious to know the actual medical explanation too, and if you aren't then you can just keep scrolling and there's no harm done.

God created the tree, and told Adam and Eve that they could eat of any of the trees they wanted to, except for that one. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the tree, sin entered into the world and God cursed them. Adam and Eve were originally created to bring children of God into the world. There was no evil in the world until they disobeyed. Eves punishment along with all their heirs (meaning us) women was for us to endure great pain during child birth, and to have a period once a month as a reminder to us of what an awful thing Eve had done. Adam and Eve did not know that they were naked until they disobeyed God. Eating of the Tree opened their eyes to all the evil, that they had no know before. They then realized they were naked, and ran and hide from God. The emphasis was on the female genitals because that was God s original plan for Eve. Not only as a partner or wife to Adam but also to bring children of God into the world. And also remember we were all originally vegitarians so fruit was really the main thing we ate.

It was "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil" Before Adam and Eve "ate" of this 'fruit', they did not know any evil and were similar to animals in that they did not feel ashamed of showing their private parts. Some believe that this act was the point where mankind became 'human' with a sense of right and wrong. It is this sense of conscience that puts us above the animals.
The Bible never speaks of 'the fall of man'.

Actually the hiding private parts was sort of made up as Christianity grew. Don't know about child bearing pains though. And actually we have come a long way back toward not being so worried about hiding private parts, haven't we?

Dude: Pain in childbearing is part of the curse upon the woman for yielding to Satan. The forbidden fruit was not an apple--it was the fruit from the forbidden tree which is no longer on earth so we don't know what it looked like. Nakedness is considered shameful not because of the lack of physical clothing, but because of the lack of spiritual relationship and harmony with God. People could be naked all day long and not be considered to be in a state of shame because they lived in harmony with God. It is not that the tree was evil; it is that it our free will was tested and we failed.
Only those who love God have a part with him and the tree tested the truthfulness of that love.
That is the long and short of it.

The fruit that they ate of (and were told not to) made them aware of things such as their nakedness. Why? Because the enemy (devil) wanted them to be ashamed of God's creation. As for the child bearing, well that represents the life that only God can give and the pain is being born into a world of sin.

Eating the apple was the only prohibited act in Eden. There was genuine freedom there -- not absolute freedom, but close enough to it.

There was certainly more freedom in Eden than in any other place in human history. Adam and Eve had virtually unlimited freedom -- the only thing they couldn't do was eat from a particular tree.

But that wasn't good enough for them.

The fruit tree wasn't evil. The act of disobedience was.

Child-bearing would be painful because Eve sinned. Don't make me laugh. It is obvious that it was always going to be painful, and saying it was Eve's fault is just a flim-flam for a botched design job. There weren't any cases of pain-free birth to compare to now, were there?

No, the reasonable explanation is one that has nothing to do with the bible, and that is that stretching and tearing of tissues during childbirth is painful because stretching and tearing of tissues at ANY time is painful. It's not rocket science.

Okay. The psychology is that nudity is equated with vulnerability. It is a strong image to make us feel vulnerable, and this makes us more receptive to the idea of the great poo-bah who will take away our feelings of vulnerability and loneliness when we read the rest of the book. It's psychology 101.

Because Eve didn't listen to God, instead she listened to the devil that said it was not true what God said. She lied when God asked her about it, and blamed it on the snake.
Bottom line is it is a sin not to listen to God!
