I haven't used Vista yet, but I am pretty sure that it will be the same as every other new OS that MS have brought out, and fail to live up to expectation.
Most people have been here before and wait for the first set of bug fixes to come out.
Sorry you don't agree but there are so many issues with games and devices not working it's just not a good move just yet.

I LIKE Vista but I don't think using it for 3 days gives you much right to comment. After 3 days you know it is secure and a lot more stable??? Come back after 3 months.

in case you have a clean computing device that became designed for Vista you're stable to flow. in spite of the undeniable fact that in case you have an older computing device overlook approximately upgrading. I even have extensively utilized the two as a sparkling deploy on the comparable computing device and XP is waaaay swifter and makes use of much less components. overlook approximately utilising Aero in case you dont have a committed video card. I additionally do no longer think of Vista is extra guard than XP with a stable firewall and virus scanner.

for those who say "well, Vista is quite good but XP is still faster so i'll stick with XP for now":
you can use XP for some longer but Vista is the next OS, it's ther next generation, just like XP was and there's no question about it. sometimes, you switch to vista.
and this comparison, vista vs xp. it's just dumb. xp is 6 years old, 6 years of patching and fixing, 6 years of pc hardware evolution. and vista is probably safer and somehow as fast as xp, but out of the box. imagine vista after 6 years of patching. imagine how vista will run on pc's 6 years from now.
now, compare that. can you really say vista is worst than xp?
and one more thing: i just hate those who say macos is better than winsdows. don't you? it's not because i use windows or i'm a windows fan. but microsoft has to create an OS to run it on hundreds of hardware, a lot of manufacturers, to be able to do ANYTHING with it, including gaming. what about macos? apple make THEIR OWN OS, they make THEIR OWN computers and it still crashes like windows. and it does, believe me. try it. and you say windows is overpriced. buy a mac. that's overpriced. and no upgrades available. well, who's more phatetic? you tell me..
ps: excuse my english, i'm romanian

I agree, I think the Vista haters are Mac users that can't stand the fact that we have an OS as pretty as theirs. Now there's no reason to put their platform on a pedestal!
It is uber-secure, although UAC gets annoying. I wouldn't say it's fast though :) It's as fast as XP, sometimes slightly slower. Background virus scanning does work faster though.
You know that feeling you had when you went to XP, and then looked back at 98? Now that's how I feel when I look at XP, I thought XP looked good but Vista blows me away.

I got Vista when I bought a brand new PC in April. I find it OK, but I have come across a glitch and had to completely restart the system from scratch. But other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it.
