World War III, then World War IV, then the Lunar War I, then Rocky IX, then Planetary War I, Planetary War II, then Lunar War II, Then the aliens from Melmac will invade and we'll have bigger fish to fry. Then World Peace

World War III I say sadly...Too much corruption in the world to even have a start on peace. Definently don't bet on peace. Sucks to say it though...
Think about it...
two world wars so far
zero world peace
People view the world as a jungle in which anything can pounce. I f we keep thinking this way, How are we going to start on peace?
It is not in human nature to make peace. You think there is, but it will never happen =[

we are all hoping for peace. a third world war is more likely. maybe after that when most of the world population is dead and the survivors are living in a post nuclear war wasteland there will be some sort of peace. but then again....no.

We can argue philosophically about whether man is violent by nature. Personally I am sure that there will always be at least small acts of violence (guys get into a fight, one of them pulls a knife, gun, etc...). Must there always be war though?

I argue that war is not the nature of man. It is the nature of governments. Rulers (being acting individual people) have different motives (just like any group of people would have different motives). At any time, there are bound to be a few bad apples. Further, I think that the worst sort would be attracted to try to rule the most powerful nations. While I don't personally know Bush and company, I suspect that at least a few of them are very bad people. I know that this opinion is pretty widely shared.

So given the almost religious reverence that too many still seem to attach to governments, I fear that they will continue to wage "perpetual war for perpetual peace." World War III (which is just an arbitrary name for a BIG war) will hit us before I see the people of the world abandoning the rulers who get us into wars.

Definitely the World War. We should always hope for peace, but prepare for war.

We should not be in the business of starting them, however.

We have never in the history of man had world wide peace.
Never, not once.
There have been wars between people we never even heard of, in jungles and forests, and deserts, on islands there isn't much of a case for world wide peace.

There's never been world peace. Let's prepare for war.

Since world war 3 is in it's early stages I would bet on that first.

Even though many people on the left deny there is a threat from Islamic Extremism.

World war, of course.

World peace is not a concept compatible with human nature.

We're in the early stages of World War 3. America's securing the oil supplies before China can get a mind to. Need a lot of oil to fight a war.
