No. It appears he left this option somewhat open-ended. For example, when a woman was to be executed for committing adultery, he counseled her would-be punishers that the "sinless one should be first to cast a stone." On several occasions he set examples denouncing the Pharisees as "serpents". Furthermore, he counseled his followers not to extract a straw from their brother's eye without first removing the rafter from their own eye. So it appears that judging is a duty reserved for the sinless and someone who sees clearly their own flaws before picking at those of another.

This pretty much excludes every adherent I've ever met, but most "Christian" folk's seem to feel entitled to this duty that clearly their god forbids. Otherwise they could be in trouble...

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for their sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is their Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with their sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20). We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word ; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences - the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Yes he said not to judge. For YOUR spiritual health, dont stop there b/c that isnt all of his statement:

He didnt say inclusively not to judge others.

He was meaning for us not to think we are better than others, by judging some shortcoming (in our opinion) they have and thinking we are better b/c we arent that way.

[[[[[[[[[[We are to judge, to not be swayed into false religions, listening to false prophets, false doctrines etc etc. That kind of judgement, for our own spiritual health is encouraged.]]]]]]]]]]
Never is there encouragement to judge a person to make ourselves look or feel better. Dont judge the homeless man (how did he become homeless-yes, judge that we dont follow that path), dont judge the alcoholic (how did he become an alcoholic-yes, that we dont follow that path), dont judge the drug addict (ditto), dont judge the anger addict (ditto), dont judge the atheist as a sinner, do judge the things the atheist may say to sway us to abandon faith.)

Of all these people, and any others, never to judge ourselves superior.
We are also to recognize the sin in others, if we do, but not to hate, dislike, hold contempt, etc, for the person. We are to hate the sin we may encounter, but never the person.
Hope that helps.

Yes Jesus said if you judge others you will be judged
The truth, it is the whole Bible
Not one word or sentence or paragraph
The whole Bible
This born again thing
You can not be born again
You can lose your faith then regain it
People make their religion what ever feels right for them
not what is right
You can take 1 word out of the Bible and make up a whole religion. It has been done before

In Luke 7:37: "Stop judging and you will not be judged."

Yes he did, but interesting to note is that he went and chased the money changers out of the temple... that sounds pretty judgmental doesn't it? I don't think what Jesus meant by that was that if you see someone committing a sin you should act like it's none of your business. When you see something blatantly wrong, you don't have to judge... you KNOW IT'S WRONG. Judging is when you don't know all the facts about a situation. The Pharisees were judging the woman at the well, but Jesus knew what was in her heart.
But someone who spits in your face and goes ahead and commits sinful acts, you don't have to judge that person... you know they're evil.

He said "The spiritual person judges ALL things but is NOT subject to anyone's judgment" and
Judge not, unless you want to be judged, because the measure YOU use in judging someone, will be what God uses on you"
Neither of those say NOT to judge BUT, rather they suggest that if you DO make a judgment, make it be in a way that is reasonable, and in a way that you will not mind God judging YOU on.
If I tell my son, he is not allowed to stay over night in the house down the street, with his buddy... because I know the buddies parents sell crack, out of the home. That is a very necessary judgment, I have made on the people, and the surroundings, and the situation. I will welcome God's judgment on WHY I made that judgment.
God appoints judges all through the bible.
Any person that claims they don't judge is a liar. Point blank. We all do, and we all NEED to to stay alive and healthy.

Are you judging others for judging you? Why no longer forget approximately 'so called' Christians, and basically pay interest to the extra non violent, non-judgemental Christians? no one's suitable. yet with Christ's help, we will all be switched over slowly yet unquestionably into his likeness... in case you worship Yeshuah for who he somewhat is, then I, as a Christian, do no longer evaluate you lost.

Jesus said the most important of all of God's commandments is to love God with all our heart, and love our neighbor as ourselves.

There many instances where we have to make a stand, to fight for justice, to, in essence, ask ourselves whether what a person or society is doing is acceptable. We are making judgments.

If we are following God's most important commandment, then it will effect how we go about correcting others behavior (or correcting our own behavior, for that matter). Someone who hates me for my mistakes/sins is no Christian; someone who loves me while pointing out my transgressions is helping me on my spiritual path.

With compassion in your heart, share with people what actions you think are wrong. If hate is in your heart, then you indeed have a big log in your eye that needs some attention.
