No, it is just that racial profiling is part of the NYPD SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). That's why the NYPO (New York Police Officer) handbook is not for public release.
Just go on a ride along with an NYPD officer or, for better views, detectives. Yes, non-minorities have been shot in the past by the NYPD. Most if not all of them WERE ARMED.
Dorismond, Zongo, Diallo, Bell: All black, UNARMED young NY residents, murdered by the police. Former police records, don't matter. They could have had 100 lbs of drugs, DON'T MATTER. AS THEY WERE UNARMED< THEY SHOULD BE ALIVE TODAY. Yet the police lovers on here will blame the victim, society or some other crap, without blaming the police men who SHOT UNARMED MEN. (No spin, no BS, just the facts).

No. The NYPD shoots dangerous criminals of all skin tones.
P.S. Quite a few unarmed non-black skinned people have been shot by Police Officers in recent years - the overwhelmingly vast majority in fact were not NYC residents.
And almost all of those shootings were justified.

No the NYPD and other Cops are equal opportunity racists for all shades of black people. They shoot innocent unarmed fair skinned blacks too-'just less frequently as sometimes those blacks can pass for white so they have to be certain. This has led to the increased sales of relaxers and hair straighteners as well as blue contact lenses which seem to be flying off the shelves. Don't expect any cops here to admit it though-they have lots of practice denying it.
