Hi,

Jon G has the right answer above to turn a presentation or a slide into a picture.

If you want to turn the presentation into a Movie and you're using a Mac then it's simple. File > Make Movie.

If it's just a part of the slide, you can use the button "imp pnt"(in an spanish keyboard) in an english keyboard it should be something like print screen, you press that button in the moment you want to take a picture of what is showing your computer screen and then you paste it in paint or Microsoft office picture manager, you save the image and you got it!!

play your power point slide as normal and pause on the slide that is of interest.
on you keyboard there is a print screen button abbrevated as prt sc
on laptops you will have to press a combination button, usually function key, but on a desktop it is just the prt sc button

then open paint and hit ctrl + V, that is paste. this should paste on to paint a copy of your desktop, in this case your slide
save it as a picture and you are done. use that in the movie

You can't save the whole slide unless you do a screen capture. (Snag it)

Or print the picture to PDF and then capture the PDF file into a picture format.

You can save the images from it as below.

Click on the image, right click on image.
Select "Save as picture"
Enter name and pay attention to location (My Pictures)
