Ok, first off, I want to know why we are putting up with this crap? Why are the American people just burying our heads in the sand and not saying anything about getting our troops home!?! Why is it ok for our friends, brothers, sisters, dads, moms, cousins to die for a cause that was never there to begin with? And we've done NOTHING! We demanded that Clinton be impeached for putting his wanker in certain places, but Bush has legally murdered thousands of our citizens and we do nothing....I just don't get it. Don't get me wrong, and think that I'm anti-war, because I was right there with them in the beginning....but I just don't understand now. What is the real truth behind the war in Iraq...and why have we done nothing to stop it!

Ok~First, to all the idiots who aren't reading my post in it's full context, please re-read. I have LOST my BROTHER to the Iraqi war as of August of last year. I still have many friends who are in Iraq or whose husband are in Afghanistan or Iraq who I worry about daily. So because your man is over there means nothing to me. I was not attacking our military members, I'm questioning our Government's motives so get off your soapbox you stupid little twit. "Legal murder" is pretty self explanatory. If you can't grasp the meaning of that, look it up, it's not that difficult to get the concept. I have no political motives, I'm not pro republican or democrat, I'm simply asking why! Why have we done nothing but feed the machine and sit at home. You said your husband is protecting us from foreign invaders, think about it, with the majority of our forces overseas...who is here to protect us? Oh, I know, once us minivan moms lose our freedoms, the **** will hit the fan!

Most out of apathy.... it doesn't affect them personally enough for them to get involved.

Some are blindly loyal to Bush -- no need for further comment.

Congress is unwilling to actually do their jobs.

And the rest of us are too small a minority to overcome the three oppositions above.

The strategic goal of a democratic Iraq accomodating the concerns of all the major ethnic and religious groups is as valid as ever. It's a deep and very long-range strategy, making life more difficult for people in Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria to do us harm, pressuring the governments to limit their support for terrorist groups. It also has implications for internal Saudi politics. The crap about terror cells in Iraq, WMD's and other secondary supporting arguments was never the point, so arguments about those are and always have been beside the point. I recall getting into a family argument on this subject when it all began.
Once there, we have a tiger by the tail and dare not let go. Not only is the strategy still valid, and premature withdrawal injurious to our national pride; from a purely practical military point of view, a fighting withdrawal is the most difficult and dangerous maneuver in warfare, and the continuation is likely to have fewer casualties than a withdrawal.
We've actually accomplished quite a lot, and despite the continued difficulty in getting the factions to trust, cooperate and compromise, even the Iraqi political situation is much improved from a few months ago, though that's more on a local level than a national one (and that may even be looked upon as a good thing).
"Murder" is not appropriate. Soldiers die. Fact of life. And a "cause that was not there to begin with" is a baffling phrase. Extending arguments to that degree is like saying we fought the Japanese in WW II to protect the Dutch oil fields. Yes, we'd moved the Pacific Fleet to Pearl Harbor for precisely that reason, and yes, our oil embargo forced them into their attack, but I bet you'll find your older relatives think of the argument in different terms.
And all of this comes from a guy who wasn't that thrilled about the war to begin with! I'm not a Bush apologist; I'm just asking for a solid analysis
Oh, and Clinton could put his wanker wherever he wanted. The objection was to perjury, a felony in anybody's book.

It sounds to me what you observed on television became a one sided talk on the conflict. looks it somewhat is those style of persons have time for. Anti Anti. in the event that they only new that each and every person they are doing is giving gas to the terrorist and to the Anti Iraq infantrymen there. it is the comparable concern that befell in Korea,Viet Nam and a few different places.Its called divide and wait. U.S. gets drained and pull out and that they take over whilst the time is nice. U.S. won't flow back to help whether asked. we've a waist of infantrymen existence's and money. no longer something became accomplished using fact of those people who do no longer think of of what there doing. the militia of previous could take those infantrymen and courtroom martial them for treason. it is, doing any act which could supply the enemy an benefit. now and back they have been comprehensive with no tribulation. Orders by utilising their C.O. in the event that they are out of the service whilst making those statements they are able to connect Hanoi Jane Fonda. Vet's do no longer overlook.

911 has little to no conection to Iraq... if you think that you have been brain washed. I can hear Bush laughing at you.

that being said the reason people dont say anything is because we all are in a rat race versus before when people atually cared enough to do something about it. We say we care but only talk. Talk is cheap<<< my self included....

lets bring back the hippie days free love and peace for all

There is a cause that 3000+ soldiers have died for in Iraq. I'd like to hear you tell a war widow her husband died for "no cause." Just remember, they are protecting your freedom to be so ignorant by ensuring the bad guys STAY in Iraq and not trample over borders and into the USA.

All you have to do is look into the eyes of ONE grateful Iraqi who craves freedom... It's the untold story. MILLIONS of those people DO appreciate that we've disbanned terrorism in their neighborhoods, taken Saddam to where he belonged and destroyed weapons capable of doing massive damage to their country or any other on this planet.

If you want facts, ask a soldier who's been there. My husband's been three times... And he STILL honors and respects the position of authority President Bush has been given. Not a day will go by that he won't be proud to have served his country in the War on Terror- even in the face of this ungrateful Nation.

Why because most people that think realize that the alternative to leaving ASAP is much worse for the us. Iran would basically take over Iraq and the Al-Qeada members in Iraq now would claim victory and gain even more support around the world.

I know its harsh to say but soldeirs are going to get killed

Please, before you decide to go off on a rant at least get the facts straight. Do you have a loved one over there? I do and Bush has not "legally murdered" anyone What the hell is legally murdered anyway? You are brainwashed my friend.
One more thing, what does Clintons wanker have to do with anything?

The person, meaning the individual, is smart. They have a clear view and conscience of what is right and wrong. The people, or in this case the sheep, are hearded together to believe that what are leaders are doing is right.

The truth behind the war in Iraq is money. The defense contractors are making billions of our tax dollars along with our President. We can petition and protest until they kill us and unfortunately it won't make a bit of difference. We are screwed and that's the way it is.

911 = Al Qaeda ,
Al Qaeda = Terrorists
Terrorists = Iraq
Despite what you here on the news most Americans want the USA to win in Iraq and then come home.
If the democrat lead house and senate really wanted to stop the war they would stop funding it, like they did for Vietnam, but they know the American people do not want to loose to terrorism so the only thing the democrat congress can do is pass non-binding resolutions, and issue subpoenas whoppi-do!!!!!!

Quit being poisoned by the liberal media.

"legally murdered..." what the hell is that supposed to mean
when you go into combat people die. It's just part of warfare.

We are in a fight that will determine the very future of the planet. Radical Islam is built around the idea of teaching the youth of their countries that Americans are evil and that the only way for them to go to heaven is by killing Americans (Infidel).
