If Guaynabo is your area, then it is a nice town, well big town. The language there is English because the mayor has everything in English, such as Guaynabo City Police, even the street signs are in English.
Santa Rosa of Guaynabo is country like near the city and is a nice place. Other places in Guaybabo would be:
Caparra Terrace, this is nice
Torrimar, the train is close
Alborada
Suchville
Caparra Country Club has an ubanization
Garden Hills
Las Lomas, this is nice place
Most of these places has as you enter security, where you have to report to the security officer as you drive in and verify, this is for visitors. The residents has a beeper for the front gate to drive in.
To check for homes and or apartments in Guayabo you can check the following web sites and there choose For Sale or Rentals and then select your town Guaynabo, then the price range you want and the page will take you to a list of homes or apartments/walkups that you can see, many will have photos for you to check out what your new home will be.
1) www.clasificadosonline.com or just clasificadoonline.com which is a website where you chose sales or rent and then check the price and choose your town. Here also, there are a list of Real Estate agencies that do offer rentals and sales with all information available.
2) endi.com when the page opens it will show a list choose the first one which is for El Nuevo Dia the newspaper here then when it come open, click clasificados they have lists here too.
Guaynabo is now a city, but it is beautiful and there are shopping centers, the Urban Train and buses that make transportation easy.
Wish you the best and Welcome.
Deseamos lo mejor y Bienvenida.

Everyone here seems to be about right as far as places to look online. I am originally from Guaynabo and it generally is a relatively safe place to live if you remain in the city/urban areas and avoid the "country" rural areas of the municipality including: Santa Rosa I, II, III and Guaraguao and the "Ghetto" of Los Alamos. Personally, high crime rates on the Island are quite high everywhere. The only places in Puerto Rico where I would live right now are in the Tourist areas of Condado, Old San Juan, Isla Verde or Ocean Park or in Culebra. Anywhere else doesn't cut it, but you can indeed find ok places in Guaynabo. Get used to having bars covering your windows!
