Being narrow minded is never a good thing, and it is an equal opportunity ignorance excuse. It is one thing to be focused, and quite another to be narrow minded.

I'm a Christian. You are kind of generalizing here don't you think? I honestly think Muslim and Christians are both narrow minded on some things.
On some things, I do try to be open minded, but I don't want to be so open minded that my brain leaks out. Seriously. I think it has happened to some people.
On some things, the truth is obvious to me since I've researched it to death, so I admit I'm very narrow minded. It's OK to be narrow minded - if you are right! 2 + 2 = 4 always.

Neither - it is not the religion that is narrow minded, it is a human. In any religion - Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism..... even in agnosticism and atheism, people are narrow minded. Now, as to whether or not being narrow minded is a good thing or a bad thing that depends. Are they narrow minded in that they believe in only one way to heaven but everyone is eligible? I think that's fine. But..if they believe in many ways to heaven but only certain people qualify, I think that's bad. But that's just personal opinion.

Neither are narrow minded because they are willing to believe in something so abstract, so merciful, so forgiving, that they cannot be narrow minded.
More so are those who dont have any belief, because they think that they are truly free, when freedom comes by the choice of what is right and what is wrong, and with all honsety their choice is only for themselves. That is narrow, shallow and frankly lost.

I'd like to say there are more narrow-minded Christians, but their minds are narrow to a lesser extent than those Muslims who are. And of course it's a bad thing.

I don't think a person can be categorised from the religion he or she originates from. A person becomes narrow minded from the ways and things he has learnt and absorbed from his family and his/her surroundings. There are very mean persons from all religions. I have had good and broad minded friends from Christian, Muslim and other religions.

It is only a matter of my opinion, but I think both Christian's and Muslims alike can be just as closed minded as the other - And this can be both good and bad. Good in the sense you stick to your beliefs, bad because you become intolerant of other people.
