but it's hard enough to take care of our 7 year old son and 3 year old daughter. And our work hours, are hard to deal with and she's not even home that much. And her drunk mother watches our kids about 14 hours a day. And why does she want another kid, shes like hardly home. She goes to work at 3:00am then she goes to school for 4 hours. Then she always has errands to do which takes about another 2 hours. And by the time she gets home it's about 7:00pm and she leaves at 3:00am but still shes gone and i have a job too. And hardly spends time with them. Why does she want another kid?

Maybe she just has the need to be wanted or needed again. You know, the youngest is now three and is probably wanting to be really independent and a lot of women get kind of scared and lose the feeling that they are needed, so they just decide they want to have another baby to fill that void.

If you dont think its a right choice right now, dont flat out tell her you dont want to have any more kids, just show her in little ways that she is loved and wanted and needed.

Beats me - she may want another child to keep you obligated to her. She may just get the maternal instinct. Ask her why she wants another child. Mention how much fun the two of you alone can have as the kids get into school.

But - if you do not want a kid - don't do it. You can be responsible for birth control so no accidents happen. The last thing you want is to be a father again and resent a child, which can happen even to the best of fathers.

P.S. this may sound strange, but I wanted another kid and hubby couldn't have anymore. Just by chance, I ended up adopting two orphaned kittens and now I can cuddle with them anytime I feel like it. And - they're independent so they don't take so much work!

Its just the fact of another one. Alot of people today are haveing kids . Its almost like the babyboom. I would sit down and talk to her and ask her why? Your not home all the time .And just tell her how you feel. And say your still going to school . Why dont finish that first then when you are home more we can talk . ? Good luck

Whoa...it sounds like another kid is the last thing the two of you need. Your kids should not, I repeat, NOT be staying with their drunk grandmother! Please find a different daycare provider, and if money is the issue here? Another kid will only make the money situation tighter.

let her know you dno't think it's a good idea, and stick to your guns... tell her how you feel

"I feel it's already too much for us with the two kids, considering we have busy lives...."

"I think it would be a financial burden"

"I dont' feel comfortable having another child"

"We don't spend enough time with the kids we already have".

You know, it has to be a mutual decision to have another child. Pressuring you is not fair or right.

I have no idea why she wants another kid?

take care.

Why don't you ask her why as we do not know her and can not give you a true answer. I would guess becasue she is not talking care of the other 2 so it's not work for her

What is she a rabbit? You have control too. She's probably in that stage in a woman's life where her body is craving a baby-biological crap. Anyway, stick to your gut because her's may be just a craving. Hand her a box of chocolates.
