Hello. Mu husband is 26 years old, and hasnt been able to find a steady job. His father passed away in 2002, and he was depressed, and used we##, a few times. He was living with friends, and needed a place to go so he went to local clinic. To talk to someone about his dad dying, etc. and stayed 3 days. It was NOT court ordered. Is there any way for MEPS or anyone to find ut about this? He really want this. He has been clean for like 5 years, and is not depressed- it was labeled depressed, due to the situation. PLEASE HELP

if he lies by failing to admit his past, he WILL get busted for fraudulent enlistment. This includes failing to disclose his stay in the clinic as well as the past usage of Marijuana.

He would have to talk to a Coast Guard recruiter. They know the regulations better than anyone here on Yahoo! Answers.

Go to: http://www.uscg.mil. Click on the Careers link underneath the top banner. Then click on the Enlisted link on the left hand toolbar. When the enlisted career page opens, click on the Find A Recruiter link underneath the banner. You choose by your state and it will list the recruiters. Get the address and phone number and tell him to go talk to them.

Who is trying to get in? You or your husband? In either case, you might as well make the effort and try, but whatever you do don't lie about what happened.
