why didn't Jesus ask for John to care and look after them?
He from the cross ask John to take care of his Mother.
would he have not cared about his wife and child?
look it up for yourself....this to me slaughters the "Jesus was married and had a child theroy" and what would have been the purpouse of him having a child?
Jesus birth life and ressurection had a purpose.

Good point. There are too many bored people trying to find some new angle on what's in the Bible. They'd be better off to learn what the Bible can teach them and seek God sincerely.

There were lots of different "gospels," scriptures, fables and "myths" about Jesus, his followers, and his teachings besides what was made into the official Bible by a group of bishops at the Council of Nicea back in the year 300 or something like that. In fact, there are Gnostic Gospels that claim that Mary Magdalene was very close and perhaps intimate with Jesus. Whether this was actually, factually true or not is unknown. Some scholars think that 2 lineages of Christianity started out at the beginning of things--one was the lineage of Peter (and also Paul) and the other of Mary Magdalene. One Bible scholar is of the opinion that John of the Gospel of John was really Mary or someone from the Magdalenian lineage.
In time, because of misogyny (hatred of women, who were thought to be a subclass), xenophobia (fear of other cultures and ethnic groups), and various other factors , the Gnostic and Magdalinean lineages of Christian lore were censored and even demonized, and died out . A lot of the literature was lost until fairly recently and is not considered to be part of traditional Protestant or Catholic scripture.
One fable, called the Golden Legend, which inspired the author of the DaVinci code, is that Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus and that, after his death, she gave birth to his daughter and fled to France. The daughter was said to be dark skinned and was the ancestor of the French kings.
This is where this idea comes from--not from passages within the traditional Gospels. The Gnostic Gospels of Thomas, Philip and of Mary Magdalene, however, all suggest that Jesus and Mary were very close spiritually and intellectually if not intimately.

What is wrong with Jesus having a wife and and child? He was born as a human. I don't buy that hocus pocus story of magical birth. Seriously, you tell me since you take every word so literally, You get tomorrow and someone tells you there is a virgin girl who is pregnant with the Lord's child, what would you do? Would you disregard that because It is not in the Bible that Jesus would ever born again like that? If it happened once, why can it happen again? Problem is if Jesus were to come back, you would be sitting here writing question about a fake person who is claiming to be Jesus because when Jesus is supposed to arrive on the judgment day..
But who wrote the Bible? Have you ever read any other Holy Book? Please do not tell me that you don't need to! Unless you read other Holy books, you have nothing to compare your beliefs with? I am not telling you to change your religion, just read what others have to say and then we can have a dialogue.. I would be happy to listen to your beliefs. Right you all you know is Bible stories and biases you have heard or read it on line about other religions?
Words in the Bible are not of a saint? Those words reflect notions and beliefs which were prevalent in that society. Humans who got together to complitle Bible had self interests in it. Why can't God change his ways? Why can't he come tomorrow? What if He comes tomorrow and tells you, son, come with me, I will show you the path!" what would you do? Would you tell him to go away and tell him ," you are not Jesus, look I have a book here and it says that you are supposed to come with a big bang...on the judgment day.

In the book of Luke chapter 8 verse two Jesus cures Mary Magdalene. Then in Matthew chapter 19:12 Jesus says there are eunuchs, (those men who do not marry, or really have sex at all) on account of the Kingdom of the Heavens. Jesus called it a gift to live this way, Matthew 19 verse 11. So, then Jesus made room for this gift, to devote his entire life for God's Kingdom. Mary and Jesus then did not marry each other.

Your theory only works if you believe the bible is 100% correct and was never messed with by the early church.Maybe Jesus didn't die on the cross.Maybe he survived went to another country to live out his life and raise his family.Maybe when they went back and Jesus body was gone was because he didn't die he was alive. That's just something to think about.
Edit:Who wrote the Bible God or man?I think man did.until God comes down and says what i posted couldn't have happened then I don't think it is such a wrong theory.I didn't get my information for the Da Vinci Code I haven't read the book or seen the movie. If you read outside the bible you might know other theories exist. You can't say Jesus never had the family just because one book the bible says so.I guess we should just agree to disagree on this.

I see you're back to asking this question.
ONE of the gospels contains the passage you refer to. It's the ONLY one of the gospels that claims that Jesus's mother was present at the crucifixion, or that Jesus spoke to anyone (let alone with a request for John to look after his mother).
Not only do the other three gospels make no mention of this touching little vignette, they flatly contradict it. History ALSO refutes the passage, as crucifixions were very well guarded, and nobody was permitted to approach the condemned in the way described by the author.

According to "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". Mary Madelene took Sarah, the child she had to Jesus, and fled to Egypt to escape the Roman occupation, and the Jews who were searching for anyone related to the cult of Christ. At the time, the Jewish and Roman authorities were hunting down and persecuting everyone who had any dealing with Jesus, or his following, and beieved him to be the Messiah. John and the others had to hide to keep from being killed, and some of the followers of Jesus had left Jerusalem. Mary Madelene would have had to flee Jerusalem to survive, and if she had a child, she would have had to take it with her or it most likely would have been killed if it had been found with her or any of the other desciples.
For additional information about this, you may want to check out the Apogrypha, including the Gnostic Gospels, and also Holy Blood, Holy Grail.
