You haven't mentioned the age of the cat. If it is a young cat you still have time to work with behavior...but humanely. If it isn't, and/or you've been allowing her on your bed for some time, changing the behavior may be all but impossible.
Enjoy your cat and don't worry so much about the bed.
Of course next time you could get a Mexican Hairless Cat! lol

Close your door? But seriously, just put an old sheet on your bed and let your kitty lay down. If you don't want your baby on your bed, why'd you get a cat? One of the best parts of having a cat is to cuddle them!

We have 5 cats. Sometimes it's very hard to teach them. Make her a little box or basket with a comfy blanket or towel in it that's easy to wash. Put it up on a dresser or little table so she's at the same height or higher than the bed. At a window usually works.
She is trying to be close to you and also to be comfortable. Each time she gets on the bed, put her in her own bed. If it is by a window, chances are she'll stay there more because she can look out. Cats love window perches.
When you aren't in your room you may need to close the door so she doesn't sneak in and sleep on your bed. In time she'll learn to use her own bed but keep the towel and/or blanket clean or she'll stop sleeping there. Cats like things to have their scent on it but they don't like it to be all gross and hairy any more than you do.
I also like the other poster's idea of putting another blanket on your bed in a spot she is allowed to sleep on. This works for us with one of our cats who is now 17. She wants to be close because I think she knows her time with us is winding down. Rather than argue with her, we put a towel at the foot of the bed and this is where she sleeps. We just have to be careful not to kick her or she will move up. If you think you will hurt your cat by putting her "spot" at the foot, choose a different location. You can also cut down a cardboard box and put the blanket or towel in it, then set it on your bed. This will contain the hairs better.
However I'd still try the box or basket up on something near a window first and see if that can eliminate the bed altogether. This works great for our other cats. Two sleep with our children periodically and we have spots for them in the kids' rooms too so they stay off their beds as well.
Personally I think repellant is disgusting. The cat is your pet, not an insect. Secondly the repellant is usually gross to humans as well and you need to keep spraying your bed with it for it to work. Not.

Unless you shut your door the cat is going to sleep on your bed. Why not try placing an old sheet or blanket on one area of the bed for the cat to sleep on. I do that for the back of my sofa. My cat knows this is her place and will sleep on her small towel every time.

Take her off when she gets up. but i mean, i would never do that to my cat. i love it when shes on my bed, plus when a cat is allowed on you bed, they respect you more and feel more loved. its that what you want? just get a dust buster and vacume the hair off. Thats what i do.
I love the little icon that person has above me! kitty!
