you have to strengthen your abs and lose the fat that is covering it. doing crunches, leg lifts, v lifts, body curls, all those will strengthen your abs. but to lose the fat covering it (i'm a wrestler, so this is from a wrestlers point of view, which is usually having to lose weight fast), go on a very low calorie diet, and run. or go on a low calorie diet and do a fast paced ab workout routine.
diet that works best for me, eat often and healthy. eat fruits for snacks during the day, that way you aren't as hungry for your main meals so you can reduce your meal size. once you have done that, eat less during the day until eventually you are just eating maybe one snack a day and eating smaller meals.

if you try running, bananas are a great snack, they'll keep you from cramping up. if you want to lose the weight fast, run in sweats on a track or inside of a building up and down stairs.

I choose doing "center muscle workouts" (uncomplicated to locate examples on the internet) for firming abdomen muscle groups although i've got heard swimming is great aswell (there's a definite style of swimming like the pro's do, style of like the way dolphins swim by ability of arching the physique up and down as you kick the two legs in parellel somewhat of a million at a time.) Doing that old breast stroke frog style is great for the thighs as you're constantly commencing and shutting your thighs with the added resistence of water.

I used to run 2 miles a day, 4 times a week-that worked pretty well. Crunches are good also-dont over eat either.

Crunches and leg raises and a good run should help. Watch your diet...meaning less fatty foods.
