There are many followers of Jesus and believers in God that don't accept Satan as real. We believe Satan is symbolic for man thinking as mortal man instead as spiritual man. You can go through the Bible and take out the word Satan and insert mortal man and it makes a lot more sense. That is the goal right? To interpret the bible intelligently and not take every word literally. Jesus always taught using parables.

Very good question. He has an enormous
amount of power, but it seems that many people almost consider the idea of a devil as not being an entity, but instead just being
some sort of symbol of evil.
He is very much an entity; Scripture tells us that he will, at the appointed time, be booted out of Heaven and down onto Earth; what many are ignorant to is the fact that he will not be coming as the devil; instead, he will be coming disguised and pretending to be Jesus Christ himself. He will come in peacefully and prosperously;
he'll be preacher/teacher/savior; don't forget that its the role and position of Jesus Christ that he has been after since the beginning. Anyway, he will come preforming miracles and "destroying wonderfully"; meaning he will cause the spiritual death of the masses because they will be worshipping the wrong "jesus", but it will feel oh, so good to the deceived because they will think that their Savior finally has returned to them. Can you imagine the preachers who will ignorantly lead hundreds of thousands of well-meaning, Church-going Christians to be devil worshippers.
Why? Because he's coming exactly as the opposite of what folks would expect the bad old devil to come and act like. This is the great deception of the end times. It is interesting that the only ones who will escape that deception, are those who care enough to study the Word of God to know the game plan; who know the Antichrist will come first and who know he will be pretending to be God. Many people who would rather listen to man instead of the simplicity in which Christ taught, will bear the mark of the beast. The way you escape that mark is simple: you instead receive the seal of God. There are seven seals in Revelation, and if you have them firmly planted in your mind, you will not be deceived.
People go nuts and practically run each other down over a rock star - can you imagine when this fake comes doing miracles - making lightening come down from the sky at will, ending war, ending homelessness, a chicken in every pot, help paying those bills, tolerance and love for everyone? Even those who don't believe in God will at that time because of those miracles, find a belief in God just in time to be deceived. Those who are unlearned in the Word will be deceived and fall all over each other to worship and serve him. And lets not forget those rapture believers:
they will be the first deceived, because they believe that the first "jesus" on the scene is here to rapture them out to safety. Unfortunately, they will be "raptured" by Antichrist. Have you heard of those books called "Left Behind"? Well, if you go to Scripture and read of the two grinding at the mill and the two workers in the field - one is taken, the other left? If you back up to capture the subject and object of what is being discussed, you will find the subject is that Antichrist comes first before any gathering back to Christ occurs.
YOU WANT TO BE THE ONE LEFT BEHIND; THE ONES TAKEN ARE TAKEN BY ANTICHRIST. These are those who are harvested out of season.
That rapture doctrine all but sets up thousands already to be deceived - Antichrist almost needs to do nothing but arrive and do a few miracles; the Churches of today are not preparing their congregations by teaching them from the Word. They "teach" from their little Church quartery and a congregation will sit week after week in a pew for 30, 40 years and just get the same baby-milk messages told to them over and over again: salvation, baptism, ten commandments. I am not taking from those beautiful lessons one bit,
but my God, these are things that a Christian should pretty much have a handle on in the first month of learning. They never seem to get the meat of Gods message that sustains and grows a Christian into a useful vessel for the Fathers use in these end times - esspecially with something important as a fake Christ coming. But no:
more baby milk for little baby Christians.
Oh, how Satan loves the pulpit.
So the Churches are not preparing the people; the people themselves are too busy to not only read thru their Bible, but read it with understanding. They listen to some man instead without ever really knowing if what the guy is preaching as "gospel" is actually even in the Bible.
The stage is perfectly well-set for this event;
Biblical illiteracy is at an all-time high; people by the droves are spiritually deader than a hammer.
Antichrist (Satan) has more Biblical knowledge than all your Priests and Pastors put together. He is a deceiver, a liar, a real smooth talker. Its written he will deceive the whole world. He is a very powerful, very charismatic, very beautiful and very pursuasive ArchAngel. The very presence of him will weaken flesh man.
This is why Christ tells us in Mark 13 that if he had not shortened the time, no flesh would be saved (from deception). But for the Elects sake (Gods true soldiers who know the plan) God did shorten the time;
you will find it shortened from a total of a 7 year period, down to a total of a five-month period, in Revelation 9.
The 7 seals are teaching seals; they are there given by Christ so that if you care, you can learn them and by learning them you will not only escape deception, but you will also have the protection of Christ himself so that Antichrist cannot even touch you.
Sorry I rambled; my specialty study is Prophecy; thanks for listening.

I do but according to what the lord has done is doing and will do in defeating the devil, the devil has less power than God. if u look around the world you may think that the devil is doing it big but through the eyes of God, (faith) the devil has lost the battle, thats all we gotta see to succeed in our christian walk.

Christians have a hard enough time with it. They still think our battle is against other people. Christian, if you do not know what we are up against then pray and ask God for the opportunity to cast a demon out of someone. Once you have done that then it changes your whole perspective on what following Jesus Christ is all about.

I believe that behaviors are our choices to make. If we want to be evil, then we are evil! If we want to do good, then we are good!
How can the ones who choose to do evil give the credit to satan? They are but pawns and have not one clue! The scriptures warn us about his cunning, deceitfyl ways! He makes their lifestyle seem normal, superior to others. In fact, that is proven in this section! Non-Christians call we Christians, unintelligent, niave and so-forth! Yet, it is they who are blind by the very one who wants to own their soul.
If they understood this, they would see that satan is a destroyer of souls! He does this through his cunningness. Christ, does NOT do this with us! He allows our free will to navigate us to Him!
