Science is not an Atheist only thing, there are many Christian scientists. Many Theistic Scientists like Einstein for example.

Just because someone says they are Christian doesnt mean they are. So war is no excuse, as if wars were only started by Christians. Hitler for example believed the Aryan race was the superior race, this is a belief backed by Darwins theory of survival of the fittest.

Computers were not bill gates creation, he created windows, plus Mac is way better anyways.

Plus wut else would he do with billions of dollars other than give it away.

The final answer is both Atheist and Christians have done plenty of Good and bad for society. The only difference is the motive, Christians realize there is a greater purpose that extends beyond our time line, and not for our own pride recognition, or own benefit, or some Gold star sticker/ trophy/medal.

This isn't a question that's easy to answer, because when atheists do things charitably, they don't do it in the NAME of atheism. They just do things. Their religious non-beliefs don't come into it.
Angelina Jolie is atheist. She's also one of the most generous people in the world, giving most of her time and money to various charities.
The two biggest charitable contributions in the world were made by two atheists. Bill Gates ($15 billion) and Warren Buffett ($30 billion). Another atheist billionaire gave one of the largest donations ($22.5 million) to the Archdiocese of New York to fund a scholarship program for needy inner-city students attending Roman Catholic schools. (Showing that an atheist is even willing to look beyond their own belief system to donate. I'd bet you wouldn't see a Baptist organization giving to a Catholic charity, or a Catholic organization giving to a Buddhist charity, etc.

The fact that some religious people accomplish good things some of the time does not make religion good, or useful.

You'll find that there are far more atheists in the world than you think. Religion is a foolish thing, and people have recognized that fact for centuries. Social pressure and the threat of death prevented people from self-identifying as atheists for most of world history, and still does today. The simple fact that atheists don't usually work as a unified group prevents their accomplishments from being attributed to "atheists" collectively.

This is a very interesting question. At first glance it appears to be a "believer's" dig at "non-believers" - and may very well be. But perhaps it invites an answer that may exceed the scope of the question.

Most people believe that there are mysteries and powers in this life that are far greater than themselves, if they "worship" these powers, and think that there is a single source for them, they can call themselves "religious." If they see them as "natural" and worthwhile to study, they can call themselves "scientists." If they just accept them and live their lives, they can call themselves "ordinary joe's."

People in all of these categories have contributed to the human condition, and most people, I think, can say that they have been a little of each.

this would properly be a very wide question. Atheism actually potential 'without god' and because maximum human acts of devastation have been in the call of one god or yet another, this could propose that they are much less risky than those with a faith. in case you think of approximately it in a greater precis way, atheism promotes loose thinking and the choice to believe what you prefer without the obstacle of somebody telling you what's genuine with none info. in this type, many faiths actual sell lack of awareness over awareness. (The reasoning in the back of this lays with early society human beings attempting to form a doable society that applications properly jointly. faith is a very helpful thank you to do this, consequently why there are such countless similarities between them). So consistent with what you propose with the help of harm, in early human society atheism would have been greater detrimental to the form of the human race yet in recent circumstances (the final one hundred fifty years or so) faith is dropping its place in present day society.

It's hard for one atheist to build something on his/her own. Now atheists (plural)... well, that's a different story.

There are tons of wonderful things atheists have done for humanity. The thing is, atheists do not usually go around exclaiming they are atheists unless it's a discussion about religion so, who knows the exact number?

Come on... I could make a list but I know what you're trying to do - you're trying to say that atheists are not as caring and considerate as Christians or other religious groups.

Trust me, atheists, agnostics, and non-Christians in general are wonderful people. A lack of a belief in a religion or god does not make someone a bad person. Honestly... take a look around you.

PEACE.

Plenty. But Atheists don't feel the need to plaster their names all over everything to show people what good Atheists they are. They do the right thing because it's the right thing. No reward necessary.

Is this a serious question?! ppl do not need god to do great things (this is obvious because there is no god and ppl have accomplished great things despite his lack of existance). despite that ppl w/o faith, atheists, have accomplished just as much as those with it. the only difference is that they dont credit their accomplishments to their faith and also dont proclaim themselves as athiests so its not known whether or not the person is athiest.

Nothing. Fritz Haber gave up poison gas warfare. Einstein gave us nuclear weapons. From Verdun to Hiroshima, and on to Three Mile Island and Chernobyl, they give birth to nothing but evil.
Incidentally,Doctors Without Borders is merely an imitation of the thousands - probably hundreds of thousands - of missionary hospitals and clinics contructed over the centuries. In any event,we have no way of knowing how many participants are Christian or Jewish or Muslim; I know of nothing to suggest it consists of atheists. As for Bill and Melinda, make the most of it since they are essentially the world's only known atheist philanthrophists, which doesn't weigh much in the balance. For one single Mr. Bill there are hundreds of thousands of Andrew Carnegies. In any event, I'm sure their taxes are huge and all those donations are certainly tax-deductible.
