I have a sony but its too senstive to scratched dvds

The best ones is made by Oppo. They have different features (1080p, upconverting,...) depending on your needs. They are around $200-$250, you can check a specific model on the web.

If money was no concern and you could spend $500+, the best ones are high end models by companies like Onkyo, Elite, Yamaha, etc.

But if you are just looking for a good consumer model less than $200, I would suggest Toshiba or Pioneer - I have always had good results with these brands.

90% of the DVD players use a MediaTek DVD player.
So, buy any cheap DVD player with component out and you should be OK!
