I have 2 best friends. Ones a guy and ones a girl. Well they used to date. But they broke up about a year ago. But now, my guy best friend had addmitted to liking me. I like him as well. I think we could be a great match. We are planning on dating when school starts back up. Is what I'm doing wrong since I'm bascially dating my best friends ex? even though we are best freinds too?

if you are still in schooli guess it could be a big deal because young girls react foolishly about guys, maybe you should talk to her about it and explain to her how you feel. she will hopefully be understanding and since she has a new guy wont mind

Talk to your best friend and find out how she feels. Obviously, he doesn't feel any conflict but you should tell her first as a courtesy so that she doesn't feel embarassed or awkward finding out by surprise. This is not the kind of surprise that people like. You should do what you feel is right.
My best friend (female) and I talk, we've decided that we can kiss the same guys if there's no serious involvement but someone is getting attached or that if any clothes have come off that a decent interval needs to pass...we rarely go for the same guys anyway.

Why not talk to your other best friend about it. I mean, sometimes the ex of a friend is often a good match for you but the again, it's one of those cardinal rules. I feel in situations like that, you should talk with the friend of the ex before proceeding or take in to consideration how they feel and then decide from there.

It's wrong. But if you talk to your best friend about it, and she says its ok it could turn out ok. Just make sure she's telling you the truth when she says that.
And it also depends, has she ever admitted to still liking him afterward? How long did they date? Are they still friends now? And why did they break up?

I think you should talk to your girl best friend and just ask her if she would have a probably. If she is really your best friend she would respect your feelings. And plus it's not like she has feelings for him still. Talk to her instead of wondering whats going to happen.

talk to your gf and find out why they broke up first. if she's still into him, it could be trouble.
if she's over him, then that opens the door for you to ask for her blessing. everyone's happy.

just ask your girl best friend if she would mind. if so, then you have to decide which one of them is more important. honestly, right now you have two best friends, right? now if you go out with this guy and things don't work out, then not only do you lose him as a best friend, but you're potentially going to lose her as a friend too.

If you really have feeling for this guy, you should talk to your girlfriend and make her aware of your feelings towards her ex. If she is a good friend she will understand.

Dear Ambi, if you want to keep the girlfriend, clear it with her first. She'll thank you for it and everything will be cool.
