jesus referred to himself as the son of man . if you believe in the trinity then this question pretty much answers itself . " god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son " begotten meaning coming from , but also being as . jesus was prophetised as coming way back in the old testament , he performed many miracles to try and prove he was who he said he was . he never came out and said he was god , but he did make referances to just that .the three persons of the trinity are god the father , god the son , and god the holy spirit . the father is not the son , the son is not the spirit , the spirit is not the father . however , the father is god , the son is god , the spirit is god . john 10:30-33 "i and the father are one "

Jesus was the son of God, but so were all the Kings of Israel and the priests of Israel. Jesus said that his followers were his brothers and sons of God. We are all God's children.

It was only the Romans (with a little help from the Gnostics) that deified Christ the same way Romans deified their emperors.

Well, God spoke out of heaven 3 times during JC's life saying, "This is my son, who I approve." and all....
