Wow. You need help if you have had eating disorders. Really.

Its not about how little you eat, its about the calories, mostly the calories from fat that are in them.

Fill that out and it will tell you how many calories you should be eating. You need to workout, you cant do it on diet alone, at least not in a healthy way.

If you are going from a height and weight chart those are SO inacurate! The last thing you need to worry about right now honey is your weight. Stretch marks mean you are growing - they are perfectly normal when you hit 12. I was right at your size when I was 12 and now I'm 20 and everything has went where it is supposed to go without dieting or anything. If you really want to change something I would suggest you start exercising more. Diets and eating plans help a lot but really without exercise they aren't that great. It looks like your eating habits aren't that horrible. Try mixing it up and adding different things in so you don't get bored with your meals. Chk. salad is great - baby carrots - if you like celery load up on it! There are so few calories in it that you actually burn more eating than you take in! I bet you are a beautiful young lady! Don't let others convince you otherwise! I hope this helps! Stay healthy!

whatever you do do not try to be bulemic, its not nice and would be so easy to get into the habit of. You feel ill from the acid, you feel sickened by someone finding out, you would get paranoid things like the smeel or your absence at a particular time or place would lead to the discovery of it. Its not nice and there are other ways around the problem.

If your serious about trying to lose weight then why dont you search for a camp, designed for overweight poeple, this would give you a good start and a mind to carry on with the foods you learn to eats and excersice.

If thats not an option youd like to try have a serious talk with your mum or dad, ask them not to buy sweet, biscuits, chocolates fatty foods and so on, then you cant eat them! When you go out take enough money for what you need, eg clothes and essentials if you then you cant spend it! If you do however go out during a meal time then promise youself to buy something healthy or better than that, take your own food with you.

good luck and remember that reguklar excercise, as simple as walking to school rather than going by car will help.

I used to weigh 230 pounds when I was 14. I now weigh 145 pounds (perfectly healthy for my height). I will tell you now, you should only get your advice from a doctor! The truth is, you burn 1900 calories a day DOING NOTHING.

To lose weight, simply eat fewer calories than you burn. DO NOT GO BELOW 1600 CALORIES. That is from a doctor's mouth, not mine.

Each pound is 3500 calories. You could always eat 1600 calories a day and burn a pound about once every 12 days. HOWEVER, exercise is KEY. You must exercise if you do not want to be flabby and saggy!

Let's say that you walk for a half hour every day and do situps and pushups for about 15 minutes a day. That adds on about 200 extra calories that you burn a day. (You can find out how many calories certain activities burn via many websites on the internet). Therefore, when you exercise, you can lose a pound a week (much faster than a pound ever 12 days) and you won't be saggy and flabby afterwards.

Good luck! PLEASE TALK TO A DOCTOR! They know a lot more than I do! :)

honey first of all, as other pointed out, you are NOT morbidly obese!!!!!! You are 12 and growing.

If you want to lose weight, talk about this with your parents, asap! Talk to them until they listen. Do they know how much you worry abt your health and weight? Ask them to take you to the doctor (a doctor is not there just to treat you when you're hurt or ill but to also give you advice about dieting) !

The doctor will be able to give you directions. Together, you will plan what your calorie intake should be per day (how many calories you should eat to remain healthy while losing weight) and what type of exercise you'll do.

So in short:
1. Talk to parents.
2. Doctor appointment.
3. You, doctor & parents together plan your diet,
4. Stick to it.

Don't give up and take action! You're only 12, so as you know your body is still growing. That's good. The best thing for you is to excercise!

#1 Don't try anything drastic.i.e. Bulemia, etc. That's just stupid, you want to live thin, not die thin.

#2 Don't eat meat. At least try it Monday thru Friday for two weeks. If you can stick to it longer, you'll find you won't crave it as bad and you'll also find you've lost 10 lbs.

#3 You're about to get hit hard with the puberty stick. Your body doesn't want to look it's best right now, it just wants to grow quickly. Give it some good vegetables - Asparagus, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Lots of Spinach. All of these provide your body w/excellent building blocks that can make your transition into adulthood smoother and shinier.

#4 Walk around the block 1-2 times a day.

Good luck. Don't do anything stupid anymore. :)

p.s. at 5'5" you're only barely overweight. get that morbidly obese crap out of your head.

You are 12 if you were active, played outside, rode your bike, walked to friends houses, go swimming, participate in sports, you wouldn't be overweight! You are not obease, you just need to loose 20 lbs or so! pancakes are NOT part of a diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables, yougert is good for breakfast and lay off the candy, soda, & fast food!

South Beach Diet. I was 5'5" 155lbs and now 132lbs

No carbs at all even fruit for the first two weeks. You can eat lean meats, cheese, eggs, nuts, sugar free candy but that's about it. Only 2 cups caffeine per day and Crystal Lite okay.

After first two weeks - same as first phase but incorporate 1 whole wheat or whole grain carb and one fruit a day. Example: whole wheat spaghetti for dinner with sauce and veggies. Stay way from sugar and flour products only whole grains and 1 fruit a day. Fruits have sugar. Your best friends on the diet are veggies, meats and cheese.

Stay away from fast food. This works.

ALSO WALK 30 MIN A DAY

THEY JUST HAD A SPECIAL ON TV OF A GIRL WHO HAD BULIMIA; IT WAS TOTALLY DISGUSTING WHAT SHE DID. GORGED ON FOOD AND PUKED. SHE CAUSED DAMAGE TO HER ESOPHAGUS FROM THE ACIDS IN HER STOMACH COMING UP WITH THE FOOD. THERE IS ALL OTHER TYPES OF HEALTH ISSUES; YOU COULD DIE.

Start out by walking for half an hour a day. Pancakes are not healthy. Omelettes with egg whites are. Just try subsituting fries at a resurant for a green salad (some are really delicious) or a large snack with a smaller one, of cut up veggies and low-sodium dip.

exercise, and eating right will put you in the right path.
dont like sports? try just going for a run. and when you get tired push your self harder. then the next time you go running, go farther than you did the last time. and each time you will be increasing your distance. also when watching t.v. during the commercials, try doing some sit-ups, or jumping jacks until the show comes back on.
As for eating.
minimize your portions of food.
eat slow, you will become full faster.
and mainly eat healthy! if you don't like vegetables, trying drinking v-8 juice, it gives you 2 servings of vegetables!
also, if your on the run alot, and always going with fast foods, then try packing a healthy lunch. plus you will save money and calories!

Your 12 hun and you're NOT morbidly obese! I think you need to talk to someone you trust... you can contact me if you want.

Here's what I eat in a day... an example..

Cereal with 1% milk.. muslix is good and filling and I don't feel like I need to add sugar.

Soup for lunch - Chicken broth based with veggies (I like primo with rice and veggies)

Supper - whatever I want but I try to avoid fried foods or cream base sauces. I hate veggies but I try to eat some.

Snacks - yogurt (with granola), bananas, raisens, strawberrys, berries... any kind of berries.

One idea for getting out is volunteering at the local animal shelter taking the dogs for walks. They'll cheer you up and get you out. I also love pilates!!

Okay... I hope that helps a bit.

you can find my contact info at www.basicbeauty.ca
