this is what i do (i don't follow a recipe, i just go w/ it), but i use penne pasta:

cook pasta, rinse w/ cold water & add ice in the collinder to cool off faster.

add salame, green & black olives, red onion, artichoke hearts, roma tomatoes (diced - fresh), basil, yellow peppers, green peppers, red peppers ... season w/ olive oil, balsamic vinegar, black pepper, seasoning salt, cayenne, garlic salt (use seasonings in moderation).

Break one 16 ounce package long thin spaghetti into short pieces; cook as directed. Rinse and drain. Cover with ice and set aside. Chop: 2 medium sized fresh tomatoes 1 medium to large bell pepper 1 medium purple or white onion (or 2 bunches green onions, the best) 1 large bottle Wish-Bone Italian or Zesty Italian salad dressing 1 bottle Durkee's or McCormick's Salad Supreme (normally found where spices are located) Mix all with the already cold spaghetti. (Remove ice.) This is best if made in advance and left in refrigerater overnight. This makes a large amount. Enjoy !!!

as soon as the spaghetti is cooked, rinse in cold water. Add tomotoes, black and/or green olives, white or red onion, anything else you think sounds good. Some people use vinegar and oil, I like homemade Italian dressing, from the packets, because it brings out the flavors. (You can add any fresh vegie or mushroom to a spaghetti salad.) Use your imagination and make it different each time! Use a light dressing of some kind like, Italian, vinegar and oil, something like that. Add salt and pepper to taste. (When you start to boil the spaghetti, add ground celery to the water first, about 1 teaspoon, to add flavor without the crunchiness of the celery.)
