I use God (R-Heaven) to indicate that Abrahmic god which some people (of a political persuasion) like to think favors a certain political party or its candidates.
As an atheist I find it sadly humorous to make up a fictional higher power and then say he agrees with your personal politics. Believing in a god is one thing (and is a matter of personal choice). But trying to bring that god into the realm of human politics is rather crass and merits ridicule, IMO.
If you need a invisible agent to justify your politics, perhaps they aren't otherwise defensible.

sweetgirl, yes there are democrats who believe in God. But you don't see them invoking God in support of their politics. (And if you do, please let me know, because I haven't seen it.)

And on the eighth day god said, I will make one man rule over all other men and that will be good... NOT.. Religion is totally based on leaderless communism (with God being the only leader who overseer's our actions), so all religious people should really be communist. Lets do it... Who is with me.
Here is a few questions for you? What is your point? Do you think that you are better because you don't believe in god? Do you think that you can make better decisions because you don't believe in god? If god is not our creator, then what does your association to other people have anything to do with anything? What are you doing here? Atheism is a cult, just like religion is a cult and whether you like it or not, you do believe in something because your everyday actions do not correspond to your beliefs, and if they do, then you are a danger to society because religion gives people morals and a person without morals, is a person who is capable of hurting others.

Oh yeah, well Santa Claus is deeply opposed to the war on Christmas as well. How can you stand there, questioning Jebus, when the evidence is so clear? I hope when his birthday comes along again you won't ruin it by calling his Dad out to a fist-fight. You know that God is a heavy drinker (he is Republican). Gonna ruin another Christmas, leaving Jesus, crying in the corner again? Why?!

Works for the Prez. In their daily conversations he always calls God "Brother E.P" (Executive Privilege).

If the 'politic' view is along the message of the Bible, then it is OK to bring it on. Free will you know. God's Word protects us. : )

Yea, not just in religion but in all walks of life people seem to mold their beliefs to conform to their ideas and to what benefits them. It is going on everywhere. I agree.
