When something bad happens in our lives, we say that it was because of some divine force interveining. Example: someone doesn't get a promotion at work, "It wasn't in the cards for me right now." or "God didn't want that to happen".

Something great happens in life and it's a result of your own hard work and determination. Example, someone DOES get a promotion at work. "I worked hard for this!".

I know not ALL people are like that but the few that are just make everyone look so incredibly hypocritical! I blame myself for everything that happens in my life.

None of that is true! What happens to you in life is exactly what you created to happen and your goal is to discover what lesson you needed to learn from that experience.

Bad stuff happens. Good stuff happens.

God guides us through bad times and good times equally, if we are willing to listen, and to know His will.

Sometimes we need the most guidance while things seem to be going well, but we don’t listen Then things change and we ask God what happened. What happened was that we weren’t paying any attention to the guidance while things were going well. We thought we were in control. God didn’t make things go bad. We just weren’t as smart as we though we were.

turn the tables around..instead of blaming yourself at every bad thing , which brings your confidence and self esteem down, why don't you see the good things in the after the bad, why do we see more bad things about our lives when we can just give it all to the divine one who can turn bad into good, you might not get a promotion now but don't blame yourself its not the end of the world ,God can see and knows what he got in store for you, you just gotta keep trying and pushing

Good answer. God created beings with the ability of free will. Instead of blaming God for everything bad that happens in your life, you logically and clearly realize that there may be other forces or results that make it be.

That's because you have not turned your life over into the keeping of Jesus Christ. Good and bad, God allows things to happen in the life of a believer in His son to groom us for His good purposes, both on this earth, and for all eternity. You're right, without giving your life to God, you're pretty much left up to your own devices. A person who has given their life to God can be assured that no matter what happens, He promises He works all things for good.

I give thanks to God in all circumstances. That is not easy all the time. However, some people like to blame God and some people blame even the moon...and some people cannot give God thanks no matter what. : )
