That everyone is a killer. They act like we live and breath to just jump in any country and start killing everyone...give me a break. Also, a lot of people believe everyone in the military is from the end of line with no education...yet again, give me a break.

Like everyone else, I am sick of people acting like one would be incredibly stupid to join the military. It offers such wonderful opportunities for those who are smart enough to take it! Beyond that, my other pet peeve is when people act like the Marines are far superior (and tougher) than the other branches. As an army wife, daughter of a former Marine, cousin of a navy man, and friend of people in the Air Force--they are all wonderul, heroic, intelligent, brave people! I hate that the competitive nature of it makes people feel superior to the other branches. They are all fighting for the same thing.

That anyone who joins the military is stupid, especially the Army. I know many people in the military in general and have a very high IQ son in the Army specifically. All the people I know in the military are not only rather intelligent, but also kind and considerate.

Thak you for noting your spelling error. I'm sick of those who pose questions on the board intended to defame and disparage the efforts of the military and its members and, in the process of doing so, demonstrate that they haven't the least bit of knowledge on the topic. Many also demonstrate an abysmal ignorance of the English language and American history in the process, validating the belief held by the father of the nuclear Navy, Admiral Hyman Rickover, that public education in the U.S. is really in sad shape.

As a veteran, one rarely gets tired of hearing war stories. I get real sick of the know nothings who think the military is made up of poor stupid people, when in fact just the opposite is closer to the truth.

It has to be that poor stupid people are always the ones to join the Army.

Im Neither i withdrew from College because i realized i was only going because i thought i was suppose to and i was headed for a degree that i wasn't even sure if it was what i wanted to do. Also it was the adventure and i wanted to see the world which i have.

I'm sick of military fathers as being portrayed in movies and on TV as these drill instructors toward their kids. I haven't met a military dad yet who treats his children like cadets at boot camp. They're just as loving and nurturing as any other civilian dad in the world.

hiring?...if you mean hearing.. im sick of hearing about the rate of divorce in the military...and no one ever mentions the fact that the majority of those divorces are due to women marrying the man just for his benefits... Not every one in the military cheats...Ive Been married 16 years and 14 of those years my husband has been active duty , he just re enlisted and we are still going strong!!!!

I have to agree with Sweetpea, as the mom of a soldier and an airman, I certainly agree that the poor, stupid people are the ones who dont have the warewithal or courage to join. BTW did you mean hearing?

Oh man,... the ones that bug me most are the ones where they say we are the poor stupid immigrants/Americans wh sign up for the job and people who have no idea what they're talking about when they say we ARE the terrorists, when they haven't even brought their stinking shadows to the recruitment office.
