i have been told many times that i am gorgeous/beautiful/very pretty. but i'm not blonde. when i go out in public with my blonde friend who wears a lot of black eyeliner, every guy stares at her. i have some guys looking at me and drooling or dropping their jaws. but usually a lot of guys don't look at me as long as they would look at my friend.

guys prefer to date girls who arent sluts though...
your friend may get the attention but in the end you will get more good men =)

That's a very good question. I don't know why that is myself. Maybe it's because the yellow hair is brighter :0) Who knows? I went through something similar with an ex friend of mine. Not that I've ever been told I'm gorgeous or anything remotely to that effect, but I noticed that when my ex friend and I went out together, she got the looks and I was basically chopped liver. I have reddish brown hair and chocolate brown eyes, she has dark blonde hair and gray blue eyes. That sucks. What the hell is so hot about being blonde?! Brunettes and redheads can be knockout gorgeous--just as much or maybe more than a blonde. I ain't gorgeous but I'm a brunette and I'm damn proud of it!

The next time you go out with her take a look around. Blondes get more attention b/c there are less of them around. A guy sees one blonde in a sea of dark haired people and it stands out. If it makes you feel better something like 2/3th of all blondes aren't natural, they are just trying to get some of that attention for themselves. Ha Ha

they just stand out in a crowd for some reason. guys eyes, or just anyone's eyes just go straight there because it's a light color and doesn't blend in with the surrounding. it doesn't mean they are prettier, it's just easier to catch an eye. i've been blonde and brunette, but from what i've gathered, i get much more attention as a blonde. it's just our culture here, don't know why. but more attention is not always good attention, i get a lot of creepers trying to hit on me, so maybe it's a good thing that you're not.

Well, blonde hair is brighter and will reflect more light...so that COULD be a reason...
Probably because some of the most famous porn stars are blondes, the idea that blondes are better or hotter or crazier, etc, has been imprinted in the minds of all males, not that they didn't have sex on their mind already but...

The stereotypical girl that gets drunk and has slutty one night stands, is blonde. Not that every blonde does that, but it's a stereotype. Some guys however, say they prefer blondes. I'm brunette, and I never had any issues with guys in such a manner.

it's the hair that grabs the attention. something about it. even when i'm driving, i'll turn and look to see what the blonde looks like cuz it just catches my eye and the funny thing is that i'm not into blondes.

blonde hair is more eye-catching- especially with black clothing/eye-make-up.
also, blonde hair is closer to what is perceived as beautiful in the culture we're surrounded by.
