Push-ups are great for the chest and triceps. The front deltoids also get a decent workout from doing them.

push ups r good for ur abs and arms but mostly arms. and u put ur hands on the ground with ur body straight , dont put ur butt up then u should go down very close to the ground but dont touch the ground and come back up. u should do 3 sets of ten. and it depends on how tall u are but it says for every 5 feet u should be 100 and for every inch more u add on 5 more pounds.

just as effective if you stand and feet wide as hips and arms out on wall spread shoulder width..push forward and back to postion holding for a few seconds..or you can use weights sitting down..just as effective,I can't do push ups because I am heavy but I find I can do those and they have increased my muscle tone..
