I doubt you will have anything to worry about . Cats don't sleep a lot at night anyway so if you start to move around, your kitty will probably wake up and move out of the way.

The biggest problem you will have with a cat in your bed is that, no matter how large of a bed you have, it will barely have room for you and your cat. If you start to move around during the night, your cat will probably simply leave the bed. As for a sudden movement that you might be concerned about, there is a reason for the term 'catlike reflexes'.
Unless you are referring to a very tiny kitten, who might not be big enough to jump up on the bed anyway, you should have no concerns.

Cats are pretty quick and good at moving when they see something coming. Unless they're in deep kitty sleep, cats tend to sleep lightly, as they like to keep an eye on things. You could try putting a bed or a comfy blanket at the end of your bed.

My kitten sleeps with me every night. I never have any problems rolling on him. I used to have an adult cat who slept with me under the covers every night. Never had any problems with him either. When I sleep with an animal, I always wake up when I turn over. Your cat most likely won't let you roll on it. It will move.

I promise you won't roll over on it. I have a 17 lb cat who sleeps in my bed, and I never roll on to her, and I roll alot. I woke up this morning with my cat right up next to me with my arm around her. How did she get into this position? I have no clue...

I have 3 indoor cats that get in bed with me sometimes, I have rolled over on them before, but luckily, I am a light sleeper and felt them move.
Good luck

If you roll over on the cat, believe me, he'll let you know. I don't think your cat is in any danger unless it is a small kitten. If so chances are that he will sleep near your head.

I know when my kitten (he's almost 8 months) comes up to sleep with me in the night, I know he's there once i move and i'm usually okay (as in i don't roll on him). If it's older you should be fine, if not be careful.

You'll know. Trust me. The cat will flip out a wriggle and yowl. Don't worry about it. I have two kittens (4 months). They both sleep with me. I roll around a lot! Trust me, they will definately let you know....
