There are several different breeds of dogs that are hypo-allergenic. They are also low-dander breeds as well. Most pet stores carry dogs that are hypo-allergenic, but you're going to end up paying a bit more. If you truly want to make your daughter happy then money wouldn't be a issue. (Especially since it's a win win situation) The breeds that I know of that are low-dander are : Schnauzers, Poodles, Maltese, Kerry Blue Terrier, and Bichon Frise. There are several books on the subject of dog allergies, also you could look up some websites on hypo-allergenic pets. If you don't want to spend the extra cash, frequently wash the pet, keep them in a area of the house where there's only tile no carpet, wash your hands after touching the dog also your clothing, air the house out frequently (this allows the airbourne allergens out). -Or think about another animal choice for your daughter-

Yes, but you need to be a little more specific about questions. Do you need to know how to potty train? What food to feed it? How to bathe it? When to take it to the vet? Do you already have a dog and are having problems or do you need a rundown on necessary steps to caring for a dog to see if you want to get one?

It seems maybe no one does, if you are reading some of the questions around here.
But really there are lots of people who know how to care for dogs properly.

that one person was right. it is a vague question. here's a basic list:
- all-natural food (canidae, innova, royal canine etc.)
- few hundred dollars for vet bills.
- shouldn't leave it alone for more than six hours (unless you are a really good owner).
- At least an hour walk, or short walk and playing.
- lots of attention

I hope that you don't have a dog that you are attempting to take care of if you are asking that question here. Do alot of research first.
