I watched a documentry on this actually
and there is something called a heart brain .. a thinking heart
the heart picks up certain emotions faster than the brain and sends the information to the brain
love , fear , intuition etc ... all go through the heart first
they measured these responses
so all those years of people saying that you should trust your heart
were right

You are of course speaking of the "figurative heart" not the actual pump in our chest.
This is not an easy question to answer because it covers a vast amount of territory of how our thinking brain, conscious and unconscious, reacts to external stimulus. That external stimulus in turn creates massive amount of different and sometimes conflicting signals to the body.
Part of the signals sent to the body create the emotions and reactions to those emotions. Love, hate, fear, flight, stay, cower, flushing, increased heart rate, sexual defense and preparedness all the things that the body can experience come from the very primal responses as our bodies react.
In reality the physiological responses are a closed loop of stimuli and responses which change second by second.
Do they send more info from one to another, I think the answer is no. I think it varies from one moment to the next and at times one may send more then the other will send more.

Yes, I suppose it does.
The heart sends all kinds of status info from various sensors, including pain receptors. It tells the brain that it is functioning propertly.
The brain basically just sends a signal to the heart to tell it to beat.
Emotions have nothing to do with the heart. Emotions are a type of thought the brain has. Christ has nothing to do with either. If Jesus existed, he's a dead guy.

Pangel - a 'heart brain'?
You're too nice to be nuts, but what's this about? The heart has a lickle nerve nexus that deal with its internal timing, and synchronises all the muscles. But apart from that, the organ is just a pump. Whence cometh this information?

Yes because our heart feels and our brain thinks about what our heart feels.

Hearts only pump blood though us. The love we feel is really in the brain too. So it is all in the Brain.

The heart doesn't really send information anywhere. It can't.
Edit: I just read Pangel's answer., That's very interesting.

The heart doesn't control emotions. They are solely chemical.

I do not trust my feelings and my emotions and my brain. They can be deceiving. I place my trust in the Word of God. : )
