Well, first of all, you KNOW God protects all Christians, so none of them were injured or killed in the bridge collapse.

Don't think the others killed were Christians either.

However, the Baptist minister is surely innocent of all charges against him. There's a vast left-wing conspiracy against ministers and clergy. The police officers are among the conspirators.

I think that things just happen sometimes! We all die! That is just the way it goes, and when God wants us to die, (HE is after all responsible for us being here) then depending on whether we've received Christ in our hearts or not ...depends on whether we go to heaven or hell... We Christians can't understand why non-believers find it so easy to blame God for EVERYTHING that goes wrong in this imperfect world that we live in! HE is the ONLY ONE who is perfect in every way. HE is the only one who would sacrifice HIS only Son Jesus on the Cross to PAY the price for our Sins that we all commit everyday. Furthermore, God gave us the earth and we have destroyed it ourselves! He didn't want us to do it , but we did it against HIS will , anyway. There's so many non-believers in this world that of course there is going to be speculation from others that God doesn't care about things that happen...when in fact he does care...but those that are too blind to open the eyes of their hearts will never see what true Christians see...and that is OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD....and when the end comes, ALL will see HOW GREAT HE IS!!

I'd be interested to know, Bob T, how people being "sinners" has anything to do with a bridge collapsing, a plane skidding off a runway, or a monsoon.

I know Randy didn't site that plane as a news story, but I had to add it. Why do people have to cop out to themselves by saying "we're all sinners"?

Wonderful news mate. I heard 'bout the Kenyan thing (since I live near Atl. very sad.) And it's weird seeing that if God is so omnipotent, why is it that he allows such bad things happen to these normal and decent people...it's almost like He...doesn't exist. *gasp*

Why do christians never have good answers to good questions? "The devil did it" always cracks me up. And what good can ever come from people dying? None.

What do I think? 1. We live in a world filled with sinners who do terrible things. We are sinners too, even if we have not murdered.
2. God will use the tragedy on that MN bridge for good purposes, even though that seems hard to imagine. He used tragedy in the life of Job and things worked out for the best eventually.

Not sure what your getting at but God said "It will rain on the just and the unjust. What satan meant for bad God will turn it around for good.

Man chose war but God chose peace.
Man chose war against God but God sent His Son as a sign of peace.
