yesterday I went to the dermatologist and they said I could get a facial and the extraction would help with the type of acne I have. I really want to get one (it's $80) before school starts later this month!!
my parents keep complaining it's too expensive. i am not old enough to get a job and i don't have any money. what do i do?

Try other products - Maybe even your dermatologist can offer an alternative to a facial in the meantime. Don't your parents have a medical insurance plan in place for you? If so, I would think the co-pay would be less than 50% of the cost you indicated.

How old are you? Getting a job would be the first thing I would tell you, but then you've stated you are too young.
I never did those type of things until I was working and could pay for them myself. What I can suggest is asking them what you could do to help out around the house for some money. Offer to mow the lawn, wash the car etc.
One facial is not going to solve your problem, you would need several treatments and then that would be more costly. There are a lot of good over the counter treatments available now.
I think the main thing is too keep your face very clean, wash twice a day with an acne face wash. Use an oil free moisturizer with a gentle exfoilent. Don't skip this part, even if its tempting not to if you face is oily. By not using a light, oil free moisturizer it could actually make things worse. Then spot treat the actual spots. Drink lots of water. The most important thing is don't pick at them, that would make it much worse, spread the infection and scar.
It may not not totally clear up, but if you follow these instructions it will be better.

You can always sell some of your stuff, ask your parents for miscelanious jobs to do for them to earn some money. Put up some flyers or adds on craigslist to babysit, mow lawns (not sure if you are a boy or girl) or just about anything a teenager can do.
One way I made money was this. I went to the local golf course and searched the out of bounds areas for golf balls. I even went in the creeks and ponds and got alot of golfballs. Then I would set up a stand on a hole that I found the most golf balls and sold them for money. (the good golf balls were the most, and then ugly ones went down in price) I would easily make $50 a day. I would also buy a 12 pack of soda and water and sell them as well.

save up any money you DO get, try working around the house (chores) and make a deal with them to pay you, and just save up.you could do a garage sale or something, just don't spend any money you get and try earning it for yourself. when you have enough, and this is really what you want (because 80 bucks is pretty expensive) then go for it!
or, you could try at-home/over the counter facial kits, but im not sure if they work

Simply talk to your patents about this. Explain to them how important this is to you. Don't resort to screaming, crying or other dramatic misbehavior. Tell them you will do work around the house to pay them back for the amount of the facial.

I think it is a little too expensive. Try other dermatologists and beauty salons to see if they have anything similar which is cheaper. You could try other things like scrubs which could help...

By earning the $80 yourself during your last summer days...
- babysit
- wash a car
- deliver newspaper
- get a part-time job
If you earn 8/hr, you get it in 10 hours... 2 days work. It's worth a try.

I would suggest going to a beauty school or local college that has a cosmetology section. it is much cheaper than a salon and they are training to make the 80.00 when they are done.

why don't you dare them...say if they dun see results from the extractions, then they deduct the money from your pocket money and if they see results, they pay for it. haaaa.
hey, worse come to worse, if u cant win them. i suggest taking flake seed oil. i have bad acne and have been taking them. My acne condition is under control when i take flake seed oil regularly

I guess you will just have to wait then. because usually when parents say no there is no way to bribe them. I am 13 and i have learned that no one can get evrything they want unless there like bill gates. hope i help
