I've liked a girl for a while, then one day i decided to tell her, and also asked if it was ok with me liking her. She told me she was fine with it, but now every time i express my love for her, like nice cards, reminding her that i love her... she calls me corny most of the times and it hurts. She makes me feel worse for being there. please any advice? would aappreciate it

It's fine to like a girl. It's fine to even love a girl. But sometimes guys can go overboard and it comes off as corny and over the top (ultimately annoying).

Just slow it down and maybe only express these things on special occasions. You'll come off more sincere and will probably keep a girl longer.

You said you asked her if it was okay for you to LIKE her. Then you said you bought cards to express your LOVE for her. If I'm confused, she may be too. She may think it's corny because she thinks you are just friends that LIKE each other. It seems that you had different intentions and misled her. Communication is very important in any kind of relationship, whether is for a friend or a girlfriend. I would't send her anymore cards or love notes. She's not ready for that kind of relationship. Just do fun things with her and have a good time, but don't get romantic until she's ready or it won't work out for you.

OK, first of all, there's two degrees here, one liking someone and two loving someone. I read it this way, she likes you probably as a good friend and you don't see it that way. You "love" her and are going deeper into it than she is. Well, the fact that she doesn't appreciate the little gifts that you're giving her should tell you that she isn't ready for that "deeper" commitment. Stay friends and maybe she'll come around and appreciate you more. Don't get too impatient or you'll lose whatever chance you have with her.

i used to say that when ur inlove you're corny, perhaps she doesnt feel the same thing.but only you can tell if shes really into you.some girls have this problem like they dont like guys who are too showy.but not to the point of telling your boyrfriend that hes corny...set things straight before you get hooked really bad.

You seem like a lovely person and I think this girl is crazy to not appreciate your effort. I would love a man to treat me like that.
As much as it might hurt, If i were you i think i would find someone else.

She should have said what she is showing that she is okay with you liking her but she doesnt feel the same way about you . she's not going to be mad you like her but I dont think she is really welcoming your display of affection along with it though its a two way street and you dont see any cars on that road besides yours do you? find a busier street to drive on.
GOOD LUCK!!
