Depends on the breed... in the beginning they do not all mature at the same rate...

THE *** 7 yrs *** is more or less true after age 3 yrs old

A German Shepherd at age 1 is about like a 3 yr old child.. they may be larger but mature slower than the smaller breeds... A GSD is considered a puppy until around 2-2.5 yrs old due to the maturity level... then they will catch up quickly after age 3 yrs.

So... depending on your breed your 1 yr old is between 3-7 yrs old.

Dog years are actual years multiplied by 7 so it is 7 this year 14 next year.

How ever many years your dog is multiply by 7. So since your dog is turning 1 on Monday it will be 7,since 1x7=7.
I am a dog expert, I know so much about them!

OMG, HOW MANY TIMES do I have to tell you people?!
IT IS NOT SEVEN!!!!!!

The first year of a dog's life is equal to roughly 16 human years.
A 2 year old dog is equivalent to a 25 year old.
Every year after that is an additional 3-5 years depending on the size, breed, and care of the dog.
