Please follow the link as it explains people's ignorance when answering my question. People just assume I don't believe in God when I asked this question and said things like "can animals drive cars?"

I know it may seem controversial BUT PLEASE I DO BELIEVE IN GOD.

Belief means just accepting some thing as truth, and that is surely not a sign of a healthing thinking person. Questioning is a sure sign of intelligence. Why would you accept something just because your parents asked you to believe in. It suited them but not you. YOu are intelligent than your parents. Truth just accepted is a lie, truth has to be experienced to accepted as truth. First live in this world honestly and purely in thoughts words and deeds, what comes later will be handled with honesty again. Just as birth is a fact of life death is also a fact of life, just as birth is beautiful death also has to be beautiful. Live in the hear and now. that is important. YOu are a smart person. Please have more and more doubts it is sure sign of maturity.

No, you are not a 'bad' person. In fact, I believe that if you are questioning, then you are on the path of spiritual development.

Spiritual development progresses like education. Step by step, grade by grade. Some people stop at high school, some at college, and some continue evolving all their lives. If you are questioning, then you are seeking clarification or additional information, and you hopefully, will be open to receive that information.

Spiritual growth requires that we have an open mind.....past all limitations, including religion, so that God can show us a spiritual perspective, instead of a human perspective.

Questions are essential!

You are putting your ideas in before the Bible itself.
In Genesis it says that Adam and Eve were the first couple God made. They only had sons. But their sons married. So other couples had to give birth to those daughters/wives. Their second son it even says went and built a city. To have a city you have to have a lot of people to live there. So people were all over the earth.
Another way to look at this is that there are several types of blood, A, B, O, & neg. ones. So more than the one type of blood Adam and Eve had to come from others.

An unexamined faith is not worth following.

Anyone who cannot question their own religion do not have the faith to actually follow it. They are the blind being led by the blind. You are not a bad person for questioning your religion. That does not mean you don't believe it, just that there is something more that you do not understand.

I questioned my religion (Christianity), and left it. I still believe in God, but I reject Christian doctrine, the divinity of Jesus, and the Bible as the word of God. I still view Jesus as a moral leader worthy of following. I am now a Deist, and I feel better for it.

Your not a bad person by any means
If you are questioning the validity of evolution it is possible God breathed life into man
Since God is about community it would only be fitting he created out of that community. Adam and Eve are the ones mentioned as it relates to our salvation history. They are pertinent to Gods relationship to man.The Bible is not a science book nor a chronological set of events in history. The book of Genesis was not the first book written even though it appears first. This book was written to refute other creation stories by chaotic and pagan nations to show God had order in the creation of all things.

DUDE - QUESTION THE BACKSIDE OUT OF THE THING! Hit it from every angel, seen and unseen. Seek hard evidence for your faith, not just "I really really really believe", or "Tradition of your fathers", "It make me feel all warm and fuzzy". You need to make yourself one-million-percent assured.

Questioning your faith will strengthen it and dispel alot of myths that you thought were core dogma.

And if you think about it, surely God's word if it is so robust, and such the word of God, it can stand up to your questioning. If you can rationalise it away with a few well rounded arguments, suppositions, rhetorical questions and examples from society, you haven;t got much of a faith to believe in anyway.

Its your soul, your eternity - you and only you will be accountable to God. A few posts on a message board wont help.

PS: Two points
1) Don't expect alot of support - most people and quite happy in their faith of ignorance
2) Don't be surprised if you have two ideas that seem to conflict, but can harmonise. It's called cognitive dissonance and it will throw 99.9% of people of the "track".

Good luck!

That guilt is part of what keeps you from questioning. As I've said before, this is why religion is often used as a control tool.

Don't feel bad for questioning things. Question religion, question authority, think for yourself. It may make life a bit more of a struggle, but it's also much more rewarding.

It's normal and human to question and to want to find out the answers. Our pastor even says he wants us to come into service with our brains turned on and ready to question what we hear. The Lutheran church, for one, does not want you to just sit and be brain dead. Read the Bible, clarify and question. Speak to your pastors... ask them to clear up confusing points. The worst thing that will happen is that you will learn something! : )
Our poor pastor really gets it good at Bible studies... some weeks it's like we play stump the pastor. Be he loves it... it means we are thinking!

A belief that cannot stand up to questioning is little use.
But the time should come when you have convinced yourself one way or the other.
Questioning for its own sake is as foolish as believing without question.
