Corrupt Government officials in most third world countries are responsible for poverty. There are known cases where food and other supplies were available to feed the needy and due to corrupt officials and lack of proper infrastructure, the goods were spoiling in warehouses.

Ultimately the Government of any nation is responsible for its poverty. We see many instances in the USA where attempts are being made to educate, clothe and feed those in poverty, and we see so many people who abuse the programs at all levels. How can one help.? Run for political office and when elected, don't let the love of power and money corrupt you.

Try kiva.org or an investment in a Grameen bank. Anything you can contribute to education and better health will help people do better for themselves in the long run.

Population growth has turned out to be less of a problem than we thought 30 or 40 years ago. AAMOF, world population is expected to peak before the end of this century and then to decline as the economic value of children goes down, their mortality rates drop (So you don't have to have 8 babies to have 2 children that reach 25.) and women gain more control over their own bodies.

Basically, you have to have a lowered population. Our population is growing in the world at a magnificent rate. Basically, we will fight for resources, and in that process, more resources for the comfort of others will take away from others who need them. Basically those who are prosperous will put down the poor to maintain their wealth. So...Stop greed in the world, and maintain equal oppurtunities for everyone, and lower the population. thats what you need to do. "god" and "miracles" wont do it.

Become wealthy. You will not be a burden to any one, you will pay lots of taxes (helping to keep taxes lower for everyone else) and you will be able to give money to poor people.
