It is never usually the same dog doing the killing, it is any of them and sometimes its the mother killing them. Because they are stray, although my parents large yard is their home, they are unable to catch them to take them to the vet. The dogs are friendly and nice but they do not let you get near them. Also the dogs have the puppies in areas where we cant get to and they often move them around.

Your parents need to contact Animal Control or the SPCA. These dogs while friendly to humans may pose threats to other animals in the area. They need to be trapped (humanely) and removed. They could be carrying diseases that can be passed to other pets and the local wildlife.
If these dogs ever do harm a human, because they live on your parents farm, they may be held responsible for them.
I know that the main question is about the dogs killing their puppies and others have given good responses in that the Alpha pair will not tolerate an underling breeding. It upsets the pack order. Depending on how stable that pack is, the Alphas could be changing, thus explaining why it seems different dogs are doing the killing.

I just saw a special on this on cable. The other dogs kill the puppies because of the canine hierarchy. They don't want anyone growing up to take their place in the pack. They also do it for lack of food.

They did call in the human society or some such organization to catch and spay and neuter the dogs.

Maybe you can call and inquire about that??

maybe what happens with feral cat colonies would work out here. the cats are somehow trapped, usually as kittens, and sterilized. there isn't usually a cost for this, since the animals are not domesticateable, they are simply returned to their colony, but they cannont reproduce.
it might be possible to tranquilize the adult dogs in your parents and quite possibly put down.
parents will kill puppies for a variety of reasons. if there isn't sufficient foor, that's a biggie, and the other one is that males don't want to see any threats to their "mastery" over all the females.

Put the pregnant dog in the basement and leave the others out side. Basically keep them away from each other while nursing. If this does not work call animal control or put puppies in a box that sasys free puppies!

Do your best to get them spayed. I wouldn't call animal control unless you want the dogs to be killed. Seriously, they're b*astards. Unless maybe you say they are your dogs and you want them back once they are spayed.
The poor dogs.

Your parents are not 'extremly irresponsible' as someone said! Dont mind them!

Good luck!

Some times (especially with dogs that were living in the wild) they will kill the runt if they don't think that he or she will survive than they don't have to worry about looking after that one

call the animal control so you don't have to worry about it.I have heard of animals doing this sometimes, but not sure why, unless they have an unknown scent on them.

You need to spay/neuter those dogs.

Try luring one into a hard kennel for transport with food.
