My license expires tomorrow & I cannot renew it until next week. Tomorrow also happens to be my birthday and I'm going out for drinks. Can I still use my license even though it expires tomorrow? Wouldn't it be from the next day on that I couldn't use it??

Yeah, but you couldn't use it the day after...so you're good to go! So get enough to drink...

It is valid until midnight on the expiration date.
However, if you renew AFTER that date there's usually a penalty involved but in some states they give yuo a grace period.

It would probably actually expire at midnight on the expiration date. Just don't get caught drinking and driving after midnight (or any other day).
